Ratai vs The Segregation Warband

Post by R0ni »

Sorry this took a while. Had stuff to do. ~(o. o )

Before you guys start asking why the hell Ratai and The Segregation Warband are going for war, despite alliance was agreed upon the general discussion. Well, its all about story you see. Ultimately yes, there will be alliance, but this short serie of battles (hopefully) shows how it was first formed and why.

It all starts from here. (Agree, muffin? (ö_O))
Scot system.jpg
Scot:
Spoiler!
Objects in system:
Scot - Class A yellow dawrf.
-Jump node, very close to the star. Tied to the stars gravitational field, it shifts on the orbit around the star, mostly dragging along. This is only entry point to the system.
-Aron (Type M planet)
--Tei (Moon 1/3th the size of Aron)

-The Asteroid ring (mostly dust, water, iron, and other lower metals.)

-Ironos (Gas giant)
--Several asteroid moons scooped from the asteroid ring orbiting Ironos
Ratai - Mioran presence.
Spoiler!
The security in this system is low with no Mioran law enforcement patrols and no significiant Ratai military presence. It is to be noted however, that Guardian fleet - the elite branch of Ratai military are stationed at Rirya, although their strict objective is to guard the node leading to Aeronar should Darkness appear and nothing else.

With Rirya having 5 jump nodes to different systems, jump point to Scot remains unguarded. However, Ratai are counting that the sheer size of their armada is threat enough to keep pirates off their shipping - least thus far no Ratai ship have been attacked.
Rules and turns:
Spoiler!
Phase 1:
-This is mostly "raiding game", meaning that I stand on defence and you on offence.
-At the beginning there will be set amount of ships as agreed on here or via PMs.
-You have the advatange of knowing my fleet moves, while I cannot "see" your ships withing the system. Explained below:
--I always make my moves first, so that you can respond to those moves accordingly. Basically you can see what I do, but I cannot know what you do before I have decided my moves. When we execute the moves, our ships move at the same time.
--Why like this? I have set amount of civilian targets at the system, which are pretty well known. Your raiding group can hide in the asteroid field, so all I can try to do, is to defend my civilian assets. This is the first phase of the game.
-Lets try to add some roleplay elements to this thing too, can we?
-We make encounter files out of the battles, and then post em here.

Phase 2:
-Once all the Ratai civilian operations are either destroyed or forced to leave the system, Ratai are provoked enough and bring in small fleet (again agreed beforehand). This is where you can also call in your reinforcements. This brings us to fleet battle phase of the game - which we can more accurately agree here.

Suggestion for fleet battle scenario:
-Pissed off, Ratai blockade the scot jump node, boxing in the small raiding group that has interrupted the civilian operations. Desperate and outnumbered, the raiding group tries to run through the blockade. (encounter scenario).

-Knowing that their comrades are in trouble, Segregation warband send in their own fleet to save the boxed in raiding group. The fleet jumps into Scot which is blockaded by Ratai, and battle takes place. (then we watch le battle and see what happens (^U^ )o)
Im currently editing civilian fleet.

Alrighty. Finished some civilian ships and also made small trade station.

Here is the current Ratai civilain presence in the system.

Orbit above Aron:
1x Civilian trade station (Serving as a base of operations for the mining in the system)
4x Cargo depots (Unarmed, containing mined resources from the asteroid ring, waiting to be hauled to the fleet.)
1x Asset heavy freighter (Armed, gigantic freighter, waiting to transport all the refined resources to the fleet.)
1x Sentry gun at the center of the cargo depots.

Asteroid ring:
2-4 mining platforms (Unarmed, compressing and refining harvested materials directly in the field)
2-4 mining ships. (Armed with mining lasers only. Very short range.)
1x Civilian hauler. (medium class unarmed freighter, moving cargo from mining site to the base of operations.)
~few sentry guns around the asteroid ring near the mining operation site.

In the system:
1x Angel class destroyer, mapping the system for Ratai database, and also seeking for possible alternative jump points that might have been missed. Will propably be the first military ship to respond to the threat.

Due to my nickname from you being muffin pirate. >.< I'll add a little backstory. I haz come to take all the Ratai's muffins and metals from the sector in order to pump out more ships and to eat tastier food.

Trying to go undetected by other sectors of the Ratai to try and avoid a full scale conflict. General idea is the "muffin pirate" Warband fleet is entering the sector, take everything we can, GTFO with what we got and blow up anything else. As the Segregation is currently not in any full blown combat situations, most of our fleet is derping around space and hiring whores so if a full scale war does break out, reinforcements are possible.

Hehehe, muffin pirate fleet..... :3

Forces undecided, still waiting to be able to do a quick balance test.

\(o. o ) Well, now that I think of it, your avatar looks moar like cake, but muffin sounds better, so that I shall call you. (^u^ )
~( o. O)~ The feared muffin pirate lord, TehPlazmon Muffin!

(o. o )/ The initial force does not really need that much balancing. Ratai civilian operations are supposed to be comrpomised, so have raiding group that makes sense..

The fleets that battle after might need some balancing, nu?

AVATAR IS NAU A MUFFIN.

Our ships are relatively ballanced. >_< Considdering scale tho, you'd probably throw in a few more because mine is all big.

Well, this is the Muffin Fleet Raiding Party! Rest of Muffin fleet is back home eating cake because we're run out of muffins.

Jump Point:
5x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates
1x MSF-02 'Moltov' Support Frigate (Just in case shit goes down  )

Whelp. Turn 1 right? Your move. :P

Alright. I setup both areas of operation (as shown in the images.) Both are in separate encounter files. If you choose to attack them both at the same time (by splitting your raiding group), my destroyer will not be able to reach neither of the scenes in time. If you attack one site first, my destroyer will move to defend the remaining one. (just.. punch one angel class over to the enc file to the civilian site then.)

So, here are the sites, place your ships as you wish and then post the finished files. I have already activated the auto controls and set range to max.. I think... (o. o )

OHKAY LISTEN UP!!!

The Muffin Warband split their forces into 2 after considerable debate between captains about how the most muffins can be secured before the Ratai eats them all. They then realise that this'll mean a faster assault, therefore a faster exit, therefore less militia to deal with. They agree to tell everyone that this was the real reason they split forces.

Jump Point --> Aron Orbit
2x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates
1x MSF-02 'Moltov' Frigate

Jump Point --> Asteroid ring
3x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates

( ^ u^) PLING! Simulation complete. ( u ou) Utter destruction of Ratai mining operation confirmed. The pirates manage to take the muffins with little damage to their own ships.

Now some RP elemets to dis!

They came faster than lightning!
Spoiler!
The Incident withing Scot system was practically over before word reached any Ratai authority or force with ability to respond. The single Angel class destroyer did respond to the distress calls that almost at the same time came from both the mining site and the mining headquaters. With mining HQ taking priority, the single destroyer set its course to the site.

With sublight speeds, that flight took several hours, which was'nt enough to make it to the site in time. Ratai found the HQ utterly annhiliated. At first, obvious reaction was Darkness attack, but by inspecting the site, it was noticed that much of the cargo from the site was taken - practice wich was more common to pirates than hyper destructive doomsday machines. The damage visible in hulls also suggested that weaponry used was nowhere near the levels Darkness possessed. With nothing left to do, the single Ratai scout set its course to the jump node, forwarding the sad news to Guardian high command, which in turn forward it to Ratai fleet command.

Furious about the destruction of their mining operation (more than of death of their kin), Ratai sent floatilla to search and destroy the pirates. The angel class Destroyer remained on Scot side of the node, monitoring the system. The fleet would arrhive in moments..

(Ou O ) This will get us to second phase.. now we need to plot some epical fleet clash, nu?

More RP shit... ~(^U^)~

Raid Staging Outpost
Spoiler!
The Segregation, realising that they ran into pratically no resistance, figured that they should start setting up a small raid colony Tei so that they can easily raid other outlying Ratai colonies from this staging point. The Segregation sent in multiple ships to guard the area while the equiptment to construct a colony was scrapped together.

Within 2 days, the Segregation had a small fleet stationed around Tei and enough materials lying around to scrap together a BSDE-S10 'Buckler' if the battle came to them. Other Segregation vessels were searching the system for any missed materials, ships or muffins.
Segregation Defensive Fleet

Orbiting Tei:
2x MAD-13 'Hatchet' Destroyers
3x MRBC-04A 'Gauss' Cruisers
1x MSF-02 'Moltov' Frigate
12x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates
3x HAC-03 'Switchblade' Corvettes (Currently Escort to the Moltov)

Searching Ironos:
1x LRSC-04 'Boomstick' Cruiser
6x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates

Searching Aron:
2x LRSC-04 'Boomstick' Cruisers
3x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates

Searching Asteroids:
9x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates

Guarding Jump node:
3x MRBC-04A 'Gauss' Cruisers
6x HAC-03 'Switchblade' Corvettes
3x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates Frigates

In System:
21x FAF-09 'Shiv' Frigates
3x MRBC-04A 'Gauss' Cruisers
1x MAD-13 'Hatchet' Destroyer

Retake your system. I dare you.
