Moves shown in the map.
Moves shown in the map.
Total war. (turn 3)
Spoiler!
The near complete destruction of 3rd fleet came as complete surprise for Admiral Kiro'i, whom at the moment when the message reached him, was watching orbital bombardment of Minor Novian moon in the system Gre'kt. Ratai were at good progress of cleaning all life from that pathetic rock when the alarming news reached the main fleet.

The admiral quickly understood the threatening situation. A front was about to collapse, and if it did, the Ratai invasion would effectively stop. Urema and Gre'kt had to remain under Ratai control in order to push deeper into Novian territory.

The combat data from the battle that had taken place in Urema was sketchy at best, but Ratai knew that Novian forces had been battered heavily, and most likely could not stand another fleet scale assault..

The biggest single threat appeared to be the Novian Eternity class drednaught. Many smaller vessels would be lost against this monster without proper fire support, so Ratai had to bring in their best to challenge drednaught. It would be the Flagship of the Fleet, Orentis class battlecarrier, Seru - personal ship of the Admiral. He wanted not to leave this task to any inexperienced commander.

3rd fleet was effectively gone. Kiro'i decided to combine all combat able forces from Urema and Lak'tar and engage the Novians with this mixed fleet. He still left most of his fleet to Gre'kt, to continue the orbital bombardment till it would be confirmed that not even bacteria could live on the surface of that moon... This fleet got designation Shield.

Moves:!
Spoiler!
-1st Fleet: Gre'kt -> Urema.
1x Orentis Battlecarrier.
1x White star battlecarrier.
5x Stormbringer missile cruiser.
2x Dragonfly light cruiser.
3x Angel class destroyer.

2nd Fleet will combine with 1st in Urema.

1x Oracle supply ship.
5x Teus Destroyer.

Elements of the remaining 3rd Fleet combine with 1st Fleet at Urema.

1x Dragonfly light cruiser. (slightly damaged, but combat able.)
1x Arime class destroyer. (Minor hull damage, but combat able.)

Shield fleet: -REMAINS at Gre'kt-
1x Orentis battlecarrier.
3x Overseer battlecarrier.
6x Guardian hvy cruiser.
4x Dragonfly light cruiser.
10x Teus class destroyer.
5x Chaser class frigate.
10x Hammerhead frigate.

--

Damaged ships of the 3rd Fleet will retreat to the Lak'tar.
1x Guardian hvy cruiser. (Clearly damaged, unable to battle in this turn.)
2x Teus class destroyer. (Both visibly damaged. Cannot fight this turn.)

Reinforcements will arrhive at Lak'tar:

2x Dragonfly light cruiser.
Before I place my ships I would like to change some of their behaviour a little, if that is okay? No weapons or other modules will be changed. Also, suggesting that we disable fighter launch ability and just place the fithers already to the map. Say.. 4 birds per hangar? hmm?

Yes, but I am currently formulating a plan.

because i can have twice as many (or equivalent of 2x) reinforcements as yours, does that mean that if I don't use my reinforcements on one turn I can have 4x as many (or equivalent of 4x) next turn?

Well, I guess you can pool your reinforcements. I would not oppose it if you do.

Novian turn 3:

Why didn't you attack in your turn?

Waiting game
Spoiler!
Rem'lk swiftly ordered the fleet into a scattered jump formation. Energy signatures of the Ratai response were appearing everywhere but he knew he still had 10.58 seconds before they opened fire. You have to hand it to them, these vermin are quick but still not smart enough to figure out what the true motive behind this strike. The engines glared a furious red before releasing the pent up energy of a star, shooting the fleet into warp. Lok'ta's predictions were exacted to the letter, now the shield must fall.

'How long until it gets here? your predictions are out by 1.3475 galactic days!' hissed Lok'ta.
The comm went quite while the 'Assortium' clerk re-adjusted himself.
'There have been some unforeseeable setbacks. A ship of such size as the 'Origin' takes time to get to full battle readiness' stuttered the clerk.
'UNACCEPTABLE!' snapped the admiral.
'I'm sorry sir, there is nothing more I can do'.

Lok'ta cut the link, not willing to debate the matter further. Phase 2 of his plan was taking place and his fresh flagship hadn't even arrived yet. He checked his reflection In the armoglass port to see if his spines showed his anger. Phase 2 initiated, the fleet would have to move on without 'Origin'.
'Time to break the shield' he muttered.

Moves
Spoiler!
-Rem'lk's fleet -> Moving to Gre'kt
1x 'Eternity' Dreadnought
1x 'Atheist' Battle-carriers
1x 'Redemptor' Battleships
1x 'Salvation' Heavy cruisers
1x 'Sanguine' Meduim frigates

-Lok'ta's fleet - Moving to Gre'kt
2x 'Eternity' Dreadnoughts
2x 'Atheist' Battle-carriers
4x 'Redemptor' Battleships
5x 'Salvation' Heavy cruisers
5x 'Sanguine' Meduim frigates

-Reserve fleet - Stationary at Mer'tra
1x 'Atheist' Battle-carrier
2x 'Redemptor' Battleships
5x 'Sanguine' Meduim frigates

Reinforcements - Enroute...

We need to decide how we are going to prosecute this next battle (fleet splitting and hangers ect.).

Interesting move. Gotta decide what I do now. Clear is Shield fleet cannot hold as it is where it is, and if I cannot keep the system, Lak'tar becomes compromised... ( >_O) Hmmmm...

Heh. What prevents me from pulling same moves as you did? There are no immidiet contacts in this turn since you jumped your fleet out and now your ships are enroute to Gre'kt. This would be pretty handicapped game for my side if I were not able to jump away also. If I choose to keep my fleet at Gre'kt, sure there will be battle and even if I jumped my 1st fleet from Urema back, it would not arrhive before the battle would be over.

Last time when our fleets met at Urema, both jumped there.

That's why I said:
Why didn't you attack in your turn?
If we can just jump away from a battle then you could just invade the whole sector without taking a hit.

At the battle over Urema, I jumped in and I attacked. That's what I'm doing here. :p
