The Kiaellic Uprising...

There was once a race of great beings, ones that traversed the stars and peacefully expanded to control over half of the galaxy. However, in their prime, a terrible event occured.

The scene was Scour'ak 3. The research hub of the precursors. They were developing a new form of propulsion, they called it the Flux maniplulating velocity engine. It was to be able to cross the galaxy in 3 months. However, when the cycle came to test it, there was a terrible accident. The flux wave that the engine created erased most of this race's population. The only pockets of survivors were sporadic and unable to communicate with each other because of the wave's fallout. An entire third of the galaxy's life... erased in an instant.

The plague of the flux descended upon the survivors of the now frail precursors. It twisted their bodies and altered them. They were now hideously deformed but amazingly durable and strong. Their language re-evolved and they began to advance in science...

During this time, the species around the survivors began to advance on them. At the beginning of the revelution, there was over 320,634 sporadic colonies throughout the galaxy. 2034 cycles later (about 46264.351 human earth years), there was only two. They had named themselves. One was the Scour'a, who believed that the only way to rebuild was to be peaceful with the surrounding species. The other, was the Kiaellics, who were warlike and ruthless.

They both expanded and eventually met in the middle. They immedietly hated each other. They warred ruthlessly, the fast and nippy Scour'a ships scooting around the Obsidian hulks of the Kiaellic. The Kiaellic, however, finally pushed to the last colony of the Scour'a. The massive fleets tore at each other for over 300 units. The Kiaellics had adopted an enveloping formation and were closing in. Their mothership led the charge.

The Scour'a were desparatly trying to break out and escape. They were on the back foot when a beam lashed out from the mothership, a massivly powerful beam that cut a swathe through the main battle and supply station of the planet. Then, they held position and the Scour'a staved.

The Kiaellics, however, made many enemies during the war, and for the last cycle have been attempting to defend their borders and raid resources. They still only knew fusion generator technology, which required several fossil fuels. Once they sucked a planet dry, that was it and they had to retire from it.

However, when they discovered a proton collision generator amongst the debris of a small pirate ship, they reverse-engineered it and now colonise every planet that they can, knowing that it will have lots of power and can build ships, potentially.

There are rumors of a new mothership being designed at the ruins of Scour'ak 3 with this new generator and new weapons...
