The New Order Data

Post by Blackhart »

The New Order

Image

Ruled under the iron fist of a power hungry dictator only known as the Grand Echmos, The New Order is a union of races thats soul purpose is to unite the galaxy under one banner.

Enemies

The New Order is currently at war with another faction called the G.U.P. (the Great Union of Planets) which purpose is basically the same, but wants to unite the galaxy by peaceful means rather than destroying almost every race they encounter.

Races of the New Order

The Scrath

There are currently two races that are in the Order: the Scrath, and the Kanden. The Scrath is the race that is responsible for forming the union, and therefore, made themselves responsible for governing and controlling the New Order. The Scrath are a greedy and power hungry race and will stop at nothing in order to get what they want. However they were not always greedy and power hungry. Scrath that resent the New Order and ones that are deemed traitors for being “weak,” usually flee from the New Order and its clutches and seek refuge in a hidden colony known as New Hope.

Scrath Culture

The Kanden

The Kanden are very different from the Scrath in many different ways. The Kanden are a proud and noble race of warriors that believe in justice, peace, and loyalty over all. Why they are a part of the Order however is due to an ancient pledge of allegiance to the Scrath who once saved the Kanden from extinction. The Kanden basically act as warrior slaves to the Scrath, and are used by the Scrath to pilot and run ships designed by them. Kanden who disobey direct orders from Scrath military officials are deemed traitors to the New Order and are shunned by fellow Kanden and/or executed.

Kanden Culture

Kanden culture is very different than many other cultures. The Kanden people are ruled by 16 judges, each one ruling one of the 16 sections of the planet. The Judges are appointed by the amount of worthy achievements they have accomplished during their lifetime. The achievements range from how many battles they survived to demonstrating leadership qualities in a time of need. These judges also appoint leaders that rule the cities and townships of their section. The number of leaders depends on how many townships are in each section.

Once every few years all 16 judges would meet and the holiest of places, the Kaylon Canyon, to discuss future goals and various goals they have accomplished from the last meeting. However now that the New Order has formed the 16 Judges now take orders from the Grand Echmos of the New Order, and accomplish goals set out by him.

This system of government is loosely based on a belief that the world was created by 16 colossi, and each created their own section of the planet. Each judge rules over a section of the planet believed to be created by a colossi. However, there is one small area of the planet believed to be created by all the colossi, and that area is known as the Kaylon canyon. The Kaylon canyon is believed to be the first area of the planet the colossi created.

Kanden Homeworld

The Kanden homeworld is a dark and damp place. There is always a thick blanket of clouds covering the surface of the planet which means there is very little plant life on the surface. How the Kanden even evolved on suck a dark and desolate planet is a mystery.

A image of the Kaylon Mountain Pass on the surface of the Kanden homeworld. This is one of the few places that receives sunlight during daylight hours on the Kanden homeworld. It is considered the most holiest of places for the Kanden believe it was the first place the ancient colossi started sculpting the planet. The Kanden have separated the planet into 16 sections, each one being an area that a judge rules. Strangely enough each section seems to be different geographically than other sections, most likely leading to the assumption that the world was created by the 16 colossi.

Non-Order Races

Other races that want to join have to pledge their allegiance to the Grand Echmos of the New Order and serve him/her for all eternity. Races that do not join are simply destroyed completely or pummeled into submission.

Before the New Order

The First Echmos

500 years before The New Order was formed, the planet known as Alacath, homeworld of the Scrath, was in turmoil. Wars and the constant bickering of different nations of Alacath scared this once beautiful utopia. That was until a Scrath soldier by the name of Kaa Raa Mai rose to power. He promised peace, he promised to restore the planet to its original beauty, he promised to destroy any in his way. The people followed him and supported him, even though they thought it was too good to be true. But he did as he promised. He quickly usurped the government of the largest nation on Alacath within a year of his forthcoming, using the support of his followers and soldiers once loyal to the powerful nation. Kaa Raa Mai then quickly established a dictatorship to control the people of that nation and put his most loyal subjects in control of the nation while he set out to conquer the others. And conquer he did. Kaa Raa Mai unified the planet within 15 years after he established his nation using its military might and his ruthless tactics to crush his enemies. Kaa Raa Mai had done what every other political leader had tried to do before him and had successfully unified the planet under one banner.

New Order Ships

Ships of the new order are usually designed and built to suit Kanden fighting styles and tactics since they are the ones controlling the ships. New Order ships take the saying "The best defense is a good offense," to a whole new meaning, almost all of the ships are purely made to fill offensive roles. Since New Order ships are purely offensive, they usually are less armored than other ships of the same type(or at least at the back). The New Order's ships are also known for their unique beam technology. Unlike other ships from other factions they use a beam weapon that shoots a constant beam while other factions use a pulsating beam weapon. The New Order's beam weapon is also unique by the way it splits the beam is split into 3 separate beams, which can cause damage over several sections of a ship's hull. The separation however reduces the total damage and the accuracy of the beam, which gives the standard pulsating beam more accuracy and a larger punch.
