-Planets Cremonia, and Lerond colonised in the system 'Jualelo', with homeworld being known as "Aralonia". Various wars across Aralonia/Cremonia/Lerond that finally end indefinitely via unification measures put into place after Aleksandra Gorbachova, the Cremonian admiral of lore, destroyed the Lerondic and Aralonian fleets and assimilated her people into the greater cultures of the nations.
-Aralonia's orbit chosen as the prime location for the construction of power-generating Dyson Ring, in order to promote development of other technologies.

3439 ASY:
-Unknown alien vessel enters into Aralonian space in the Kuiper Belt, releasing immense amounts of electromagnetic radiation in the various colours of light. The ship disappears soon afterwards. The signals are recorded, but not understood. A probe is sent to the approximate location of the ship, but vanishes soon afterwards as a result.

Faster-Than-Light
Aralonian warships previously used natural "warp points" in order to traverse the universe at faster-than-light speeds. In the year 298 of the Exodus Calendar, however, an angel wearing a backpack with wings (with a strange infatuation with fish-shaped stuffed pancakes) descended on the Technologic Artifact Examination Institute on Saris, yelled "Uguu!" and deposited the blueprints for the Einstein Rotation Drive.

The ERD (Einstein Rotation Drive) works by trampling all over Albert Einstein via violating special relativity without causing any detrimental effects to reality at large.

The effect of this trampling is that Albert Einstein's ashes start rotating in his urn - and the faster they rotate, the faster the ship goes.

I.e. if he manages one rotation per second, the ship goes at 1 c. If he rotates twice per second, the ship goes at 2 c. If he rotates thrice per second, the ship goes at 3 c. And the faster one tramples on his theories, the faster he rotates.

The upper limit is where Einstein's rotation does itself reach the speed of light - at a width of 50 cm, the circumference of the circle described by the rotation is 157 cm, which means that the upper limit is approximately 190 million rotations per second - the maximum speed of a ERD-equipped ship is therefore ~ 190 mio c.

The armour system was the first to be finalised, consisting of an ablative layer with technology based off of planet-bound reactive armour, designed to be destroyed and used as throwaway plating. Reactive armour disintegrates projectiles on impact and dissipates upon impact from beams, resulting in a fine mist that lowers and scatters the overall energy from beam weapons. This fine mist is excited across the entire section of ship it is protecting, resulting in the familiar orange glow that has led some to believe that the ship uses magical “energy shields” of some sort. This is not far from the truth as the technology was partially derived from Permitere force fields, impenetrable to all. Unfortunately Aralonian technology in this field is still imperfect, resulting in the fields going down for short amounts of time, exposing the ship to fire. In addition, if the reactor segments providing power to the reactive armour layers are destroyed, the reactives go inactive permanently.

Imagine the sound of a hair dryer. If you can't imagine it, then get a hair dryer from in your house and turn it on. Make sure it's on cool-air mode so you don't burn anything on accident. Oh, fine, if you can't get your own damn hair dryer, then just look up a clip on YouTube or something. Got it? Good.

Now imagine the sound of several thousand hair dryers. Just amplify your single hair dryer sound by about 85 decibels. If you really want the special effects I'm thinking of right now, turn on your hair dryer to hot-air mode. If your hair dryer's anything like mine, you'll suddenly have highly noticeable amounts of thrust, and probably some char marks on the wall it was pointed at. Hey, I'm allowed to have an awesome hair dryer, alright? I'm a Draftroom member. I mean hell, look at V10. I don't want to know about his goddamn kitchen sink, let alone his hair dryer. And I don't even want to think about No Endorse's barbecue grill.

Moving on. Got the sound in your head? Good. Open your eyes, and stare out at an airfield, three runways, two pointing east-west and one pointing north-northwest/south-southeast. Also take note of approximately 60 heavy bombers, each with 20 engines, for awesome complexity and survivability issues. That's where the hair dryer sound comes from – jet engines blazing into the night.

Commander Marcus Sutton sat at the pilot's seat of the sixth plane in the “stick”, glancing again at a multifunctional display that showed characteristics of the airplane, the designated flight path, and other variables. Most alarming was the overall flight time – Aralonian RAF bombers tended to have everyone be qualified to do everything for missions like this, where the flight crew would be able to rotate in case of day-or-longer flights, but it wasn't common to exercise this ability.

Today was the day. A one-way flight.

Engines roared as yet another B-95 in yet another stick rose up into the air, blasting hot gases and spent hydrocarbons into the atmosphere, forming up with the rest of its brethren in the flying V formation they were going to spend most of their time in the air with.

Sutton took a long swig of milk from his Thermos and nodded slowly as his copilot, Kevin Harley, taxied the lumbering aircraft onto the runway, ready to launch.

“This is D'Arvit AFB tower control to Attack Wing Romeo, aircraft No.230. Two-Three-Zero, you are cleared for takeoff. Good luck on your mission.”

“Roger, this is Romeo-Two-Three-Zero, we hear you, D'Arvit. Pushing off now.” The communications channel closed as Sutton punched a key on the console and ramped up the throttle, turning the 20 massive hair dryers into full-blast jet engines, pushing the aircraft upwards and onwards into the sunset sky. To whatever bold destiny awaited them, only they knew, they and one other.
