History
The Thunderhost is a republic of 5 sentient races.
Each race joined the Thunderhost republic for a different reason.
Humanity joined the Thunderhost after they explored a bit from the galaxy in the year 3500, thats when the new spaceship propulsion system was invented.
Communication was a bit hard to start, but after some years, a translator device was invented and used troughout the entire thunderhost.
In 3504 Humanity gained a official seat in the senate, and now they are also part of controlling this peaceful and vast republic.
The reason of humanity to join this republic is becuase of social reasons, as they finally meet aliens to communicate with, and share things with.
There are currently 2 enemies of the republic.
1 : Pirates which have only minor strength and the thunderhost set up a privateering station to hire merc`s for escort and search jobs.
2 : The derelay are nothing but scrap ships that came to life, no one really knows how.
What the thunderhost does know that these ships attack some regions, and minor derelay attacks are constant.
These constant minor attacks are so weak, that the small weak derelay ships are being captured and released as targets for a rookie pilot`s exam to become a pro.
As both the pirates and the derelay have no way to communicate, there is no real official war, but they are considered as enemies you should keep a eye on.


Weapons

Light laser turret
The lasers are nothing more than mining tools which can create damage on fighters and a capital ship`s shields and subsystems.
there are light lasers and heavy lasers, heavy lasers are only some rare lasers used on special ships.

Fighter Supression Turret
This is a quad turret using modified light lasers to bring high speed, swarming bullets to the enemy fighters at a high fire rate.
Extreme damage to fighters, but nothing else.

Torpedo Launch Bay
This is a pretty basic weapon, a torpedo with high damage to hull and almost no damage to shields.
The torpedoes can be shot down by laser turrets and fighters, but capital ships and bomber squads first deplete the target`s shields and then make a volley together.
Good againts capital and frigates, can be used againts corvettes and fighters, but i doubt the torpedo will hit it.

The railgun blast turret
A very known powerfull anti capital/frigate weapon.
A highly customizeable weapon for different turret mounts, gun mounts and even use the railguns as ships themselves! (adding wings and a truster to use as a bomber drone)
The most railguns are in X1, X2 and modified X3 battleship turrets.
Moderate damage againts both shields and hull.

EMP Bolter
An unusual and rare weapon, this weapon uses bolts of EMP to bring heavy damage to shields, and disable subsystems.
These guns are only seen in X2 mount turrets on only the cruiser class vessels.
Word says there is research on a huge EMP gun that will disable entire fleets within a single shot, but this has not been confirmed yet.


The thunderhost has no universe so far, and if we could join a universe you made, please post here.
Otherwise, after some weeks i will make my own.

Wouldn't those turrets like desync when they turn?

They would of course, but they are now used as fixed weaponry (cuase it might would look weird :))
