How about making some sort of campaign map a la Total War, in which every player owns a certain number of systems (planets would make less sense on these scales) with 'home' systems which would contain the faction's seat of power, 'capture' of which would knock them out the war.
Perhaps a turn-based system like in the text games, where a certain number of moves is allowed around the map for a fleet.

Ok, count me in. I'll help wherever I can.
Just a question: Must you construct completely new ships for the Cold War? I just got round to designing my first fleet, I'd like to try and use it at least.
Also, if we're actually going into combat with eachother, you might want to consider NOT calling it a Cold war.
Oh, and if necessary, I'll draw my own characters (yay for mah artistic skillz). But, out of curiosity, what's that character generator you guys were talking about?

Yeah, has a nice sound to it, doesn't it? Still think yours takes the cake, though.TheBlueEcho wrote:Like that one.T-002 wrote:'Assault on System 13'
However, Aralonia, I don't think Starship Troopers needs any modifications... except for the excluding of the bugs...
And Monkey, I'd suggest your standard fleet. To keep things balanced.
