Then we can think about reproduction.

I'm sorry. I don't feel up to updating today.
I am recovering, but I'm still not up to snuff yet.

Not entirely what I had in mind, but that might be... interesting.

You chew through enough of the stomper (4 DNA) to try and communicate with the cell in here with you. You feel a sort of tingly burning, but with your slimy coating and overlapping armored plates, you feel pretty safe from whatever's causing it.
You try to yell your good intent to the spiny cell. You feel you are well in range for yelling, possibly even just talking, but your yells just don't travel through the stomper's digestive fluids. Which is really too bad.

You see something happen inside of the spiny cell, like so many nutrients compressing into a juicy golden glow.

You have 3 hp
you have 6 stomach
you have 39 DNA

Hrmmm... wonder if we can do that too...
Ohwell not like we need it just right now

Lets go hide then evolve.
Persisting Toxins x 4 = 24dna
Slime Stream 6dna
Fur 6dna
Camouflage (Rock?) 2dna

the toxins as a just in case measure to ensure that we have some chance in a fight with B.

Yes but one has yet to become available. So for now lets make us more powerful so we can at least match the B a little better.

eat till we have more than max dna and do that at least twice so we can grow brawny mass and da best protobrain.
(lost some days so should be possible) and if this critter drops op a gdna we don't need to do this twice and we should ofcourse expel a lot of mass to do dis.

You Expel a whole bunch of mass, and munch away at the stomper's insides (12 DNA). Still, it keeps moving, virtually ignoring your efforts to eat it from the inside. You notice at this point that various holes in it's membrane are smaller than before, or pretty much gone, which could be related.
You also notice the other cell in here with you suddenly split, and looking much nastier than before, now. Now, it has twice as many of those tentacle things, and more flagella to boot, not to mention something floating within it's newfangled head, and that there are two of them now.
You ignore this, and attempt to expel more mass. This time, however, you notice you can't. Or rather, something happens when you do.
You have built up such a large store of DNA, it's interfering with your ability to eject additional mass. Ejecting mass this time has torn away a hunk of your flesh, carrying good, non-depleted nutrients with it (-2 hp, -6 DNA). That... hurt. Badly.

you have 1 hp
you have 3 stomach
you have 45 DNA
Several of your armored segments are loose.

You decide that getting out of the stomper would be in your best interests. You chew through the stomper's flesh and fluids (7 DNA), burst out through it's membrane, and fall into one of the plants. You quickly fall into unconscious sleep, leaving your eyes open, despite not having conscious thought to see through them with.
When you wake again, you see the stomper has finally stopped moving. It's just a tiny little bit further north, but not much further than before. You swim over to it, carefully, since it seems a little warmer than before. There are several burn marks not there before, each with a hole in it's center, where a spike must've punctured to explode.

you have 4 hp
you have 6 stomach
you have 53 DNA
You have loose plates of armor
Your stomach hurts

This but eat some stomper first (either the outside of the stomper or the inside if the outside's too tough but make sure to be out of the stomper when we evolve) and if we get enough dna from that add barbed spines or failing that accelerated reproduction (or both if possible).
