alright, let's start feasting. try and get the body of the main enemy first and eat that, then eat as many midgets as we can to fill up

This. When full, purge and eat more. If there's some time left after eating go say hi to all the Gork!s

Actually after eating I say we get some evolutions. Multi-compartment container, pressurized explosives and variable pressure sound good. Depending on how much DNA we get potent explosives area and maybe some other stuff (more health, speed and attack if possible) if anyone has suggestions.

Personally I think we should wait until next turn until evolving and see what new evolutions are available to us. Also, I'm not sure that variable pressure is he most useful use of out gdna

well I think that variable pressure is the best use of our gdna at the moment, and I agree with the rest of the evolutions but I would rather have them the next turn.

eat then evolve:
Miulti compartment, pressurized, variable pressure.
we will be able to strike with fiery beauty from afar using elegance to guide our wonderous projectiles to our prey!

Spoiler!
Kittenpillar, is that what the kamira look like in Creature Creator?
Nice! :D
Although it doesn't look very effitiant for in real spore, eh?

Good work, though.
Heh, we look kinda like peacocks!... kinda. It's the feelers.
You approach the corpse belonging to that controlling cell first, wanting to eat it, but as the Gork! that reached it first growls at you, you delay your meal for a bit. That Gork! definitely seems to have set himself up as their leader, and since he's actually studying the corpse with intensity, rather than eating it, you guess it's OK if it cools a bit before you eat. You take this time to study the variation between the Gork!s. The Scar, you know. There's also the ones with those purple dots on what could be called their face. And the un"blemished" ones. These three variations could end up as different tribes, or such, although you can't tell how they'll really play into the Gork!'s evolution, if at all.
Finally, the Gork! stops growling, and you make a sort of graceful dive to the corpse, and take a couple bites, watching as most of the Gork! take a few bites each as well. Your sense of taste picks up traces of the Gork!'s poison lingering in the cell's flesh, and so you chew carefully, avoiding swallowing anything harmful. Once you finish eating as much of it that you want (+6 DNA, 1 GDNA), you proceed to go scarf down several midgets, picking up traces of poison in a few of them, too, and so not eating those ones. But, the whole meal proves to be quite filling (+9 DNA).

seconding kittenpillar, we should eat until we fill up (on plants if neccessary) then evolve :

Multi-Compartment Container
Pressurized Explosives
Variable Pressure
Lay Eggs
Egg shells

You finish eating any and all remaining midget corpses (+11 DNA), filling up as much as possible.
You then start the all-familiar proccess of splitting... But find that, while your DNA jumbles when you eject something, you do not directly split. (From now on, splitting laying eggs will no longer evolve the sire, but it will the offspring. You will also get to choose whether to continue being the sire, or to become the offspring when an egg of yours hatches)
Instead, you've produced some sort of spherical shaped featureless lump. It seems that it's filled with a sort of fluid, that will form into another Kamira, slowly. How you know that without examining too closely, you can't tell too much. You find that your most recent changes, besides producing these shelled objects, are all to do with your spines. You realize that you can fill or empty the multiple compartments that each spine now holds, which can cause them to turn if you fill one more than another. This makes them much more accurate, since you can aim them so much more finely now.
You feel sad that you will not be able to change so suddenly any more, but take heart in the idea that you could possibly gain much from this newest development.

One of the beings was analyzing the data last collected from the now blank screen. Of the three beings that had been in the cloud, they'd expected that one to survive. But they were baffled by it. It emitted something... that none of their equipment could detect. It wasn't heat, it wasn't radio waves, it wasn't anything of any known connection. The cell was beyond their comprehension, and yet it was made by their works.
They set the harvester on a direct course to the two survivors, knowing what they'd do...

alright, grab the egg with our tentacles and carry it with us along with the crystal to keep them both safe. then we need somewhere safe to wait for this egg to hatch, look for somewhere primarily with some form of shelter (eg caves) and plenty of food

You grab the egg, being careful not to crush it. The thing is so... fragile. Not like the Kamira that will come out. You carefully start to move, unsure of where to go, when one of the Gork!, the one you've deduced to be the leader, starts giving a stream of orders, some of which you manage to deduce were directed at you. You can't deduce what, but you're picking up more of language, quickly enough. So, since you couldn't tell exactly what it wanted, you follow that one in case that was what it told you to do. It doesn't get angry, so you guess you deduced correctly.
The Gork! lead you in an eastern direction, to the closer mountains. And when you finally break out of the cloud, your light crystal remains bright, and your photosynthesis still works. You detect immediately something... Very, very hot moving past your group, which is sort of worrying. You try to tell the Gork! escorting you about it, but only sounds come out, as you really need to get a better grasp on that language of theirs. They've developed it a fair ways.
Finally, you all reach the mountains. The Gork! all put their efforts into using those slime jets to cut away rock, fair sized chunks coming loose, and while most keep cutting, others whisk the rocks away by getting behind them, and firing low strength bursts at them, pushing them far away. There apear to be more of them here, cutting away, then there were at the battle against that... mind controlling thing.
You see the Gork! quickly make a nice wide tunnel, and then make a room just off the side. You enter, noting that it's large enough for even you to swim through comfortably while some of the Gork! swim past, and then swim into the room. You set your egg on a sort of ledge the Gork have left, then settle in for a nap. Even if you feel fine, you're starting to fatigue.

Generations pass. The Gork! carve out their nests, leaving huge rooms and tunnels for the larger Kamira, who lay eggs faster than the Gork! can split, but which take longer to hatch, leaving the Kamira slightly slower to reproduce. Regardless, the Kamira keep a protective vigil, guarding the quickly expanding tunnels and mines of the Gork!, who have discovered rocks that can quickly heat, and even explode, rocks full of holes, and soft rocks that are very much like meat. Several Kamira have occasionally reported ridiculously high heat signatures, never more than one at once, but always gone in a moment. Sometimes a Gork! or a Kamira venture alone far from the nest. They never return. Whatever is out there, it's not friendly.
Frequently, large groups will go out to hunt midgets, sometimes encountering swarms with those controllers within. These beasts prove to be very rare, however, but when encountered the Gork! and Kamira have celebratory feasts over the good hunts.

You are now a newly hatched Kamira. You've been born in the Purple branch nest, although you don't really care which branch's nest you're in. Their all connected anyways, and besides the cosmetic differences, they don't really show many differences between each other.
You are, however, near the central tunnel, where the Great Glow-stone is kept.
