Actually, no, beucase matter and anti-matter mutally anihilate on a 1-to-1 basis. As such, if our 'flamethrower' comes into contact with space dust on its way to an enemy ships, the same (tiny) amount of anti-matter would be anhilated, leaving the rest free to hit the enemy ship...
Yes, but annihilation causes a larger disturbance than the amount of matter/antimatter that are reacting, so it would assumably redirect your flamethrower to the sides in a sort of... fork.
