Battleships forever mafia sign-ups and explaination.

Post by Deltaflyer »

The premise of mafia is two teams. 1 team is town (good) and one is scum (bad) The townies must discuss and attempt to lynch (kill) someone in the group every day (can be any amount of time according to moderator's rules)

After the lynch has occurred, no more posting may be done and the game has entered the night phase. This is where the scum can nightkill a person within the group. The scum may or may not be able to talk to eachother. After the nightkills have been PM'd to the game moderator (leader / person moderating the game), the kills will be posted and the game will enter the next game phase.

If townies can lynch all scum before scum kills them all, the townies win. If scum kills everyone, scum win. There can also be third-party roles. These can include self-aligned jesters who win when they are lynched. There are special roles that can be assigned randomly to town and scum. For example. One townie may become a Cop (or intelligence officer) who can see a certain person's alignment and role during the night phase. Also, there is the Doctor (Medical officer) who can choose to defend a single person during the night phase. If a scum attacks that person, they fail to kill the person.

So, any interest? I will start with a normal game that has no real quirks (such as anonymafia or role-heavy mafia).

Game will begin when all people have signed up and confirmed their role PM's. I am looking for 12-16 people to sign up.

I just noticed that thread, its slightly different though. In that, you can talk outside the game. In mafia you can't.

Here is what I call proper mafia:

Those people are extremely analytical and good at mafia.

So if they can't talk outside the game won't each side know who the other side is going to kill?

No, you discuss within the forum topic and then in the night phase, all people capable of night actions PM me with their action. I then post all the actions. Roles of the people killed are revealed as to give clues.

So either side will know who may be killed by the other side.
