Arcalane, I'm pretty sure that means you need to tell us what's going on :P.

We kinda have nothing to post about D:.

WE ALL GO TO THE ROOM WHY HASN'T ANYTHING CHANGED IN 5 DAYS

((Jesus fine I give you guys an opportunity to scavenge from the security offices some more, but no, you want to be railroaded.))

After turning, the corridor split to a T junction. A sign on the wall pointing to the left read "Mess Hall, Personnel Quarters, Vehicle Bay", and another pointing the right read "Laboratory Complex".

Kyle draws and preps his SMG. "Security system may be disabled but that doesn't mean there's nothing else waiting for us. Stay sharp and let's move." He started walking down the right fork, off to the lab complex, leading our merry band of amnesiacs onward toward enlightenment.

Before long, they come to another split. A four way, there are three possible directions. To the left is the Weapons Lab. To the right, the Biotech Lab. Straight ahead, the Quantum Physics Lab.

"Y'know, I'm tempted by that Weapons Lab, but I'm thinkin' we should do what we came here for and check the Biotech Lab first, no?"

Coriyannah nods her head slightly, holding her gun down low with both hands, her finger kept outside the trigger guard for the time being, looking tense and perhaps a little nervous, "Yes, the biolab is our best bet, for the time being, to find out what the hell happened to us."

She pauses a moment, raising one hand from her gun to rub her chin, "All these paths lead towards labs. I guess that means that vehicle is back in the other direction..." She muses.

"Y'know, we do really need do find out what's happened to us. But I'm itching to get my hands on a weapon more... my size," Elar glances at the dwarfed assault rifle in his hands. Lets split up for now."
Elar walks over and prepares to open the door to the Weapon Lab.
"Everyone ready?"

Jerome looks at the split, then shrugs and walks down the hall to the biolab.

Kyle rolls his eyes at Elar and continues on to the Bio Lab. The heavy door is functional, thankfully, and it doesn't take long to find an Advanced Medical Terminal. By now, the static charge buildup has become much more noticeable - the air around Kyle looks slightly hazy, and small arcs of electricity jump between the fingers of his suit and other small gaps.

"I feel like a freakin' electrical transformer here. Just what did these crazy bastards do to us? Anyway..."

Kyle stands on the AMT platform and directs Cori to take the console to boot it up. "Ready when you are."

Advanced Medical Terminals are fairly common in Terran Alliance space, and are mostly used as an advanced diagnosis system. The patient stands on a metal platform about a meter in diameter whilst the doctor operates the console, initiating a scan of the patient that can pinpoint any specific problems or unusual changes in biology with 99.99% accuracy. The AMT can also hold thousands of patient profiles in memory to identify any improvement or worsening of conditions since last checkup.

The console has a large screen which displays a front view of the patient with the body split into major sections, each coloured depending on the status of that section. For example, if a patient had broken their upper right arm, then the upper right arm section would be a flashing red. Using it is fairly easy, too.

On the other hand, the door to the Weapon Labs is dented in several places as if attacked from the inside, and is slightly out of place in it's frame... and it's not the sort of thing even Elar could force open.

Coriyannah cautiously makes her way around Kyle, being careful not to get too close to him, as she doesn't wish to be zapped again. She steps in front of the AMT console, examining it to make certain she's familiar with the system, and then once she's determined that yes, she can use it, she begins a detailed and very thorough scan on Kyle, hoping that the electrical currents arcing from his body wouldn't disturb the sensitive equipment.

"Okay, Kyle, I'm going to need to ask you to hold very still," She murmurs, her large blue eyes glancing from him and then back to the screen, "This equipment is very sensitive, and with the amount of... interferance your body is producing, it will probably be difficult to get a clear reading."

The tooth fairy is dancing to rave music, pink hair flying around her face. Suddenly, a bright flash of light blinds Arrich, bringing him to his senses and to a more or less conscious level. Then reality kicks in. And it kicks hard. A hunger like wildfire burns through his stomach and brain, and leaves his throat and mouth as parched as the deserts of Ryian. Slipping back into unconsciousness, he manages to say a few clear words. "Food..." he says, weakly. "Water."

Kyle hums as he waits for the scan to complete. The AMT buzzes and the speakers crackle to life as the scan completes, bringing up his medical file.

"Personnel File for Subject K. Denholm. Log begins."

"Day XX5; Genetic modifications complete and settled. Subject implanted with control mesh systems and conductive systems. No rejection has occured so far."

"Day XX7; Initiated implantation of the biocells. Difficult to find suitable body cavity locations. Settled for placing them in the lower torso."

"Day XX8; Subject's body has integrated the biocells perfectly - better than originally anticipated. We didn't even have to connect the cells and the conductive systems - it was already done. Peculiar."

"Day X10; Subject growing visibly agitated and twitchy, as if slightly hyperactive. Possibly a side-effect of built up bioelectrical fields."

"Day X11; After preliminary testing of field control, lost several pieces of fragile lab electronics and some eyebrows, plus one moustache. Subject shows poor control, but considerable power output compared to previous experiments."

"Day X13; After some training, subject now exhibits a greater degree of control. Agitation and twitchiness decrease after field manipulation, fatigue common after prolonged projection."

"Full Report; Subject was part of the 'Electrogenics' research project, aiming to implant personnel with special bioelectricity storage cells (batteries, basically) and a control/conductive system allowing the built up energy to be discharged through the hands at will. Has a considerable number of uses, besides the obvious use of injuring enemy combatants.

""Electrogenics" refers to the generation of electrical fields by living beings. By integrating four clusters of a new specially designed organ as well as a mesh of conductive material into the body, the recipient is able to create, control and project electrical fields. Four organ clusters act as batteries and can absorb power from any electrical source, or from the body's nervous system and blood stream, processing sugars into stored energy. This also makes the recipient effectively immune to electrocution at least until their internal cells are at maximum storage."

Kyle peers at the AMT console and raises an eyebrow, then steps off the scanning pad. "Well ain't that just peachy. Who's up next?"

Meanwhile, Z'anh appears to be poking around a little way off in the laboratory. Anyone looking at him would get the odd feeling that he was being watched. He wanders off into a side passage, out of sight, and then there's a loud metallic crunch and a low, insectoid hissing sound. Z'anh can be heard talking, his voice muffled, apparently trying to talk to whatever it is.

Then there's an unpleasant squelch and a scream that quickly subsides. A few moments later, wet-sounding crunches and cracks, and then silence again.

"Why do I get the feeling we're not the only things these nutcases cooked up in here?" Kyle ponders out loud.

Jerome drops off his cargo, absently mindedly not having heard it's please for sustenance, and leans in over Coriyannah's shoulder as the longs come up. "Oh, wow, that's cool... I think I understand all this stuff. Neat! Hey, why don't you go next, I think I can run this thing."

Jerome drops his weapons and his reaches for the controls of the machine, evidently not noticing that he's more or less shoving the plant lady out of the way has he does so.

Elar storms into the room, frustrated and looking for something to vent at. He gives a sharp kick to Arrich. He Glares around the room. "What've we found out about these sick bastards experiments so far?"

Coriyannah glances over to Jerome and smiles, "Oh yes, it's all very interesting. I feel quite familiar with this system, and... oh... ah... wait... what are you..?" She squeaks and stammers nervously as Jerome practically shoves her out of the way, causing her to stumble straight into an arc of electrical discharge from Kyle.

Said arc shoots through her arm and down her leg, inadvertantly causing her standard kinetic handgun to discharge. Due to the stumbling position and some incredibly bad luck, that misfired bullet flies straight at Elar's chest. Cori yelps at the loud bang and falls onto her butt, fumbling for her gun and tossing it aside, staring at Elar wide-eyed as the bullet hits.

Surprisingly, the standard kinetic bullet doesn't even manage to make contact with Elar - a previously unnoticed blue field flickers to life, the bullet deflects off into a random monitor, impacting and sending cracks through the screen.

Kyle swears as the gun goes off, and looks at Elar in confusion as the bullet is deflected.

"What the hell just happened there?"

At the gunfire, Jerome is quite startled. The blatantly obvious aside, he swears and dives for his own dropped guns, ending up flattened on the floor with his face planted on the receiver of a large rifle. There's a pained yelp, then a scramble to get the weapon into something like a firing position, then a dazed around trying to figure out what happened

"...So... that was a gunshot, right?"
