wait how can laser weapons have low accuracy? I know its fiction but that seems to ignore all properties of a laser.

Atmospheric conditions? Other than that, balance; they have signifcantly higher ammo capacities than other weapons. If they had good accuracy, this would totally skew things in their favour, despite having lower firepower, since you'd have lots of ammo and hit reliably.

A laser weapon would generally require that the beam hit the exact same spot for a significant period of time (~half a second, accounting for futuristic tech) . . . so no James Bond action moves, and lower accuracy.

Not really the second one was a very serious mistake and I've apologised but the first wasn't so bad. Anyway this is getting off the point it doesn't matter anymore it's been erased and isn't part of the story.
