Wouldn't red group have demolished bule groups first attack in that scenario? The height advantage is enormous- red can take cover, while blue is pretty much in the open to their return fire. Also, unless the 10 foot(meter?) drop from 70 plateau to 60 valley is a cliff, they would be pretty exposed moving into positon
edit:nvm, just relised thats from 70-50 instantly, not 60

Woo, Somebody used the Nexus Alliance.
Dibs on Elite Nexian Commandoes.
"Collins, I want you to get the drop on that sucker and put a nice shiny hole through his head. Once we've gotten their attention Beta team will leap out and stun them with flash grenades. Then we wrassle the guns out of their hands and use them as ransom."

Hills don't always mean "auto-kill". Hills actually can block LOS right at the foot of the hill, should the hill be steep enough. The blue force took advantage of this by moving through the valley, instead of charging straight up the hill, keeping out of the red unit's LOS until they arrived.
That and it's pretty hard to spot someone 500 yards away down an incline, regardless of how much they stand out.
But the counters I used were a bit oversized... Don't expect such large counters when I start.

Ahhh that was all you had to say I propose our next maps are scaled- if the counters are TOO smal, we could use circles to outline them, instead of making them larger. I would say maybe a 50 yard increment for measuring?Normandy wrote:But the counters I used were a bit oversized... Don't expect such large counters when I start.
You'll also wanna put up some info about equipment- what sort of armor are these guys carrying? Regular or Powered? If powered what level of enhancement does it allow? Do they have multiple viewmodes on their visors/helms/whatever?
Yeah, I will give that information out later, but I didn't put it out right away to get overzealous equippers.

Name: Nexus Alliance Watchman
Equipment: XM72-S Pulse Rifle, Watchman Powered Armor, Jump Jets, Energy Blades, Ammunition for XM72-S Pulse Rifle, Shoulder Cannon(Woot Predator reference =D)
XM72-S Pulse Rifle
Powerful, long-ranged pulse rifle that fires magnetically contained bursts of plasma.. Requires ammunition, but the ammunition is extremely adaptable- the Plasma Packs can be configured to act as grenades, landmines or powercells, with the proper adaptors, allowing the Watchman to act in many combat situations.
Lol I win =)
(This is a joke post. Don't take it seriously.)
