"Listen, I can't promise you that you'll find what your looking for on my ship, but I know what your going through and will do what I can to help you. Welcome aboard." Rain paused and sighed as the dome collapsed and faded. "Your not the only one who's looking for something."

Picking her bag up, Ariel walked off silently, without a second glance.

Mentally, however, she cataloged her new captain's peculiar remark.

The last comment filtering out of the dissapating bubble caught Ben's attention. He logged that as something to bear in mind with this captain, and hefted his bag onto his back. Noting the old man leaning on his suspicious containers, who obviously wasn't getting up any time soon, Ben calmly strolled over to the table and sniffed the air. Space dust. He took his seat and cooly stared into the dark eyes of potential captain Rain.

Yes, he thought, she knows where she is going. And I doubt it will be in this star system. All the better.

"Ben Amyadon. Applying for a position as an Engineer."

@affaJoke91 - FYI, Richard is wearing the most basic mercenary outfit out there, which can be considered light armor if you want to be generous.
He's real equipment is in the box.

IC:
Richards head didn't move an inch, only his eyes darted to the side to mesure the stranger for a second, then they reverted back to the interview in progress.
"Yup, that would be the gist of it."

The man was not disheartened by his demeneor and continued in a casual tone.
"That probably means will be working together then."

Finally Richard turned his head and gave the man his full attention.
"I figured as much... You look like you've seen some combat. Let me guess - marine core? Oh, almost forgot..." - he mumbled while extending his hand - "Richard Sterling...but you can call me Phoenix."

Aww, man, Are there still any empty slots left for crew? I was gonna fill the form up in the morning, but my bus arrived, and I had to go for school.

OOC:
Engineers: 2
Pilots: 1
Medics: 1
Marines/turret gunners: 2
I'm tempted - if you'll take me, that is - and I think I can whip something up to fill one of the spare roles.

IC
Suddenly the docking bay door opened and a dark haired teen rushed in. "Damn you Spanners, It was the WEST docking bay!"
The small robot that had been perched on the boy's shoulder turned a red colour and emited a sharp tone. Turning his attention to the rest of the room, the newcomer called "Any engineer spots left open?"

OOC: Trash is right on all the spots being taken, however I could probably use two more marine/gunners if you guys want. I also decided to drop Skyy from the story as a playable character, he'll stay in for the sake of the story but I'll control him, it'll be easier that way. He won't do very much other then occasionally pilot the ship and other small tasks.

IC: Rain cracked her knuckles as the next person walked in.
This one is different...there's something about him...the light in his eyes, his focus...I'll have to be cautious with him Rain maintained a blank, unreadable expression, but let a small grin creep into the corners of her mouth.
"So you want to be my engineer." Rain said hitting the dome. "Why?"

Ben pondered momentarily and replied,

"I used to be a trader in this area, and I was making good use of my engineering skills, but I don't like space station life. Too many people, too little adventure. This crew is small , and your voyage appears to be unusual. I want something new. A ship such as this is of foreign technology to me, so I can both expand my repretoire and join an . . . irregular . . . mission out of this dank hole in the sky."

Damn. Sorry, my internet provider was being a *censored*, so I didn't get a chance to do... anything. If there's a slot left, I'll kick in.

That is, if you don't mind.
