It is your choice, we either do this beside you, or we do this on my own.

EDIT: We join the peacekeepers, or we peacekeep on our own.

OOC: I think someone posted in the wrong topic.

Besides, the stats aren't a matter of interest. It's when people start using BSF as a combat resolver and the ships are massively different. The battles should (ideally) be held as RP rather than actual combat in BSF to, as you say, keep things logical/balanced - as long as both participants are willing to give ground to each other and so on.

The Myrr Empire diplomat to the IPKO convention stood and cleared his throat. Despite this being his first major diplomatic attendance, he spoke with deep conviction for the opinions of his nation.

"The Myrr Empire feels strongly that the position of Midgardia on peace keeping operations is detrimental to the overall smooth running of the Pax Galactica. I site the actions of the United States and Terran UN during the 1st century Post-Atomic in the Arab Conflict. Although the intentions of both parties were held to be peaceful, the net effect of foreign intervention in Arabian politics and miltary operations escalated the impact of the conflicts on the Terran economy and peace. We feel that "peaceful" forced intervention of the sort that the Midgardia representitive purposes will reach the same outcome, regardless of superior forces and technology. The Myrr Imperial Armada will not stand by such intervention, and if at any point the Midgardia forces attampt to keep the peace by such violent means, we will have no other choice but to sanction all trade with Midgardia and work to halt the consequences of such intervention in any way possible. Thank you, Galactic Representitives."

Ha, cut all trade? What trade? And how can someone fight when they have no arms. If we so wished, we could destroy their entire military and not harm a single civilian. How can they fight back when we destroy their arms and then leave immediately?

The representative from the Vaynar Alliance stood up and spoke loudly

"Indeed.
History has shown us only too well that forceful and sudden change or the regime and way of life in any nation leads only to a large crisis, infighting and escalation of violence.
If your own way of life is so superior, the Coarcians will come to it by themselves eventually. Such changes take time tough and we could all use to learn some patience...
Staying on the defensive may take more time, but it will eventually remove the steam from their war machine.
The VA is ready to defend it's neighbours should Coercia attack, but our forces will not cross their borders. Thank you."

OOC: They kick you (guess where?), thats how. Have you no knowlege of the effects on a military society of sudden anarchy and loss of military power? I find it hard to believe that your society ever achieved the ability to even do what you're saying.

The Combine representative once again stood.

"Whilssst you claim that no civiliansss will be harmed, it isss an unavoidable fact of conflict that innocssent bysstandersss are harmed, by intent or otherwissse. Collateral damage isss inevitable and cannot be avoided. There are no weaponsss that can eliminate purely military forcesss and leave civiliansss untouched, and your tacticsss, whilssst perhapsss honourable in the eyesss of sssome, are in the long-term ineffective and lacking in expertissse and finessse when it comesss to ensssuring your opponent will not ssstrike back. You may be confident in your sssuperiority, but I do not think you will fare ssso well in battle asss thessse Coercssiansss of which you all ssspeak do not sssound the type to be ssso easssily defeated."

The representative pauses to take a drink, then continues.

"Attempting to enforcssse the peacsse by totalitarian meansss isss ineffective and will only lead othersss to sssabotage and bring about your downfall. The Myrrian diplomat raisssesss valid pointsss. Our own kind went through ssseveral ssschisssmsss in it's earlier ssstagesss. Thossse who attempted to rule by forcssse were deposssed - violently. Only through ssseveral careful diplomatic maneuveringsss were we able to ssstabilize our people."

OOC: I apologise if the Combine representative's hiss is confusing anyone, but they have some difficulty speaking galactic standard, so maintaining it is correct from an in-character/canon PoV. Just subtract two (or more) s'es where necessary.

OOT: Was there a signup thread? If noobs aren't wanted, then ignore this post.

Adress from King William Fontaine of the Iryian Empire:

"IPKO, The nation of Iryia would like to extend a humble request for admittance into your organization. We have no qualms with your requirements, as the AIs we use for both war and peace are far from sentient, and the citizens of our worlds already enjoy the benefit of free speech. We offer our fledgeling navy's searing beamers to your cause. Our nation is small, and of low population by your standards, but we will do what we can. Rest assured, the Hammer of Ascension is at your side."

This news came as no surprise to the citizens of Iryia today. Tension had been running high at the ever more present stories and sightings of Iryian military rennovation, and the nation's emergence into the world of politics on a galactic scale provided a perfect explanation. King Fontaine's announcement came with uproarious applause, for it seemed that Iryia's 150 year reign of peace may yet weather a few more storms.

Anybody with a nation they control can join, as long as they aren't disruptive.

The Ein Imperium welcomes the Iryian Empire with open arms. We shall endeavor to assist you in any way that furthers the IPKO as a whole.

The Vaynar Alliance and Iryian Empire are both welcomed into IPKO. President Aradel Seraphim also inquires as to whether the nations of the Coaxus Combine and the Myrr Empire are considering joining this Alliance, or if they intend only to serve as diplomats.

Emperor Amyadon of the Myrr Empire sends his warm wishes and agrees to join the IPKO. Another diplomat, Emperor Amyadon, and Grand Admiral Telso will shortly arrive at the IPKO conference via ambassador ship.

Have a diplomatic day.

A small diplomatic vessel arrives at the IPKO headquarters, bearing the diplomatic emissary from the recently formed Hoshi Teikoku empire. Representing Kouso Grath, the emissary humbly requests entry into the Intergalactic Peace Keeping Organization.

"The Combine'sss represssentative isss asssigned merely asss a represssentative in the interessst of maintaining peacssse. There are ssseveral requirementsss that the Combine feelsss it cannot grant, however, due to our ssstandard operating procssseduresss, sssuch as the granting of docking rightsss and sssome other sssubjectsss that could sssend the universsse'sss best ethics debatersss into non-ssstop debate upon thessse sssubjectsss."

The Coaxian diplomat mutters something in the highly unintelligable language of the Coaxians, then continues.

"It isss a long ssstory bessst sssaved for another date, however."
