How uber-wanky is your wankship?

People around here have their wankships..Well, most of them anyway.. the beheemoths with more parts and overpowered guns than all the stock BF ships put together.
So how wanky is your ship? We'll use the Leviathan as a test base - pit your ship, AI-controlled against it and see how long the Levi lives.
Now I'm willing to bet that most answers will be no1 (I've sen a few ships).
So I have to ask myself - what gives?
what's with the redicolously overpowered ships? Where's the fun with maxed 9999999 damage beams and 99999999 hull ships? Ego stroke? overconpensating something? don't day design, since no design requires uber bemd of ultimate death.
Myself? As a general rule I don't use beefed up weapons - they usually have stock values. In a few rare ocasion I actually did cange the values there is another simple rule I follow, the "2-5-10 rule".
Basicly it's the damage increase I'm willing to make on a weapon, depending on the number of weapons. the more weapons I have of one type, the less I'm willing to increase the damage from the stock value. If I only have one weapon which is the ships main weapon, then I increase it's damage by a maximum factor of 10. no more. Never.
I like to have at least SOME semblance of balance.
Now that that's said, Off I go to make the "Fist of God" defense satellite with everything maxxed out as much as the editor will allow.....since, I have to have something to defend myself with against all those wankships.
