(Just to clarify right now, those are NOT Mega Tachyons. Just their sprites. It's the same method of hiding weapons underneath like Aralonia does)

The IVL-VH-M, "Velvet Hammer", is the IVL's flagship. It is currently the only ship in the entire IVL navy to wield the advanced weapons it possesses. It is unknown if more are/were being made, but just one is enough. By reverse engineering the beamer arrays the Aralonian navy uses, IVL engineers have made Ion beamer arrays. Though they overheat faster then regular beamer arrays, they allow the ship to fire Ion beams in any direction around the ship. It also features 3rd generation RMAC guns and Medium range low outage beamers. "Dusters" and "Quadshot" Railguns.

The Hammer also includes new "Side winder" missiles, these however were bought from a undisclosed buyer. These missiles will swarm and sometimes hit a ship behind it's shields.

Equipped also with low grade Ablative armor and 12 deflector generatiors. Also made with a much heavier Understructure then most other IVL ships. It incorporates new "Armored Spine plates" that make it much more resilient to "Decaping" that was made so popular in killing WCW series dreadnoughts.

Though equipped with a powerful warp core, the ship has not been seen outside the IVL home-system. The reason this is that the ship is the IVL's last resort ship incase their borders are breached or they need enough firepower to crack something.

In a simulated combat scenario the ship destroyed a IVL-R-SD "Ragnarok class" in under 20 minutes with little damage to itself.

Even more interesting, the Hammer is the first IVL ship to be classed as a "Monitor", apparently because of it's size and tonage.

Armament:
. 8 3rd Generation RMAC kinetic cannons. (4 per side)
. 12 Medium range low outage Beamers. (6 per side)
. 4 "Duster" low impact Extended Range cannons. (2 per side)
. 16 "Quadshot" Mass firing railguns. (8 per side)
. 6 "Side winder" missile launchers. (3 per side)
. 2 Ion Beam Array systems (1 per side, each can fire a maximum of 3 beams)

Defense Systems:
. 12 Ion powered Deflector generators.
. 4 Gravity Impeder's
. 6 Point defense beams
. 8 Flack cannons

Propulsion:
. 8 Ion powered drives.

Umm, Ragnarok beat the living hell out of the Horiato Nelson. "Velvet Hammer" is superior to Ragnarok class SD's so yea, it's going to rip it to bits.

It took on 2 ragnoraks and won.

Ragnarok-class SD identified as unit 03 engaged RAN Horatio Nelson in combat on EX307.22.10 with no supporting fleets on each side. After a highly pitched battle, RAN Nelson's hull was primarily undamaged, yet its weapons were almost completely destroyed. Ragnarok SD 03 was reduced to a hulk with few systems still active. Afterwards, however, a second Ragnarok SD jumped in and fired its forward beams at Nelson, completely destroying it by cracking the reactors and causing a chain reaction. This was identified as unit 01 when the probe was destroyed by a plasma lance.

RAN Viscount Hood engaged Ragnarok unit 01 in a chase to cripple the IVL's striking power, being eventually successful in chasing down the unit with a FTL-inhibitor field. Hood was able to obtain a mission kill on unit 02 before the FTL inhibitor ceased functioning due to hull shock and spaced away.

With Nelson horribly maimed in battle against now the second-rate ship Ragnarok and Hood taking little damage, it's safe to say MCH-03 Admiral George Anson (design based off Nelson hull) would have trouble against Velvet Hammer and Admiral Viscount Hood would fare slightly better.

Also, Lizzie's hull designations for the ships engaged were hulls 1 and 2 - I have them as 1 and 3 because of intelligence operations issues.

The first terren armada reported at sirius alpha in a class 4 gathering.

The newly christened pride class has had it's first omega-drednaught fiinished, and after a gathering of ships, will have it's first security run.

Meanwhile, the second-fourth armadas will begin to move in a very stratiegic plan, known only as "operation buzzard" It is said that military movement will not be made, but ships will be placed at the border.

This omega-dreadnaugh twill only defend terran-alpha, the capital sytem of planets far behind the two lines of blockade defenses.
