Do you think BSF while every dieout as a popular game?

while? will

every? every

dieout? die out

as a popular game? umm... right now it's not that popular of a game. We're a tiny community here at BSF... and even if you add in the other forums dedicated to BSF, you don't get that big. Simple games like DotA from Warcraft3 have bigger fanbases. Now I'm not saying BSF shouldn't be a popular game - it's just hard to be popular when you're not even finished.

Highly agreed and well said.

Anyways, but it will only peter out if th15 ever decides to actually leave the project without releasing the source code (or game maker files... whatever), and that's really a big unknown. I abstain.

it is kind of a biased question but glad most people think it won't die out.

Of course people will stop playing it eventually. It might take a while, but it will happen.

Or at least it'll descend into being a cult classic - one that never entirely goes away, but does not have the fanbase it once did. See Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and other classics from over 20 years ago. Or see Pong and Space War/Computer Space, from over 30 years ago.

I don't get what the no is for =O

I'm not a fan of DotA anymore... but I do play it, and competetively so. I hated it to begin with: it was like a plague sweeping across Battle.net. Now, I find it to be a highly competetive game (and competitions, are, unfortunately, what I'm all about). Moreso I play other games such as Battleships Pro and ET, and HeroCraft. All, like DotA, are both strategic and tactical: I'm just drawn to that type of play.

However, that's not what we were talking about. I was talking about the huge (of course, slightly unfortunate) fanbase that DotA has. And that is undisputable.

EDIT: Screw the link. Here are the facts.

Blah, the battleships games on WC3 now are such junk compared to the original Battleship Command or Tank Commanders.
