The above picture was taken by the crew of the MCH-01"Horatio Nelson" before the ship engaged in combat with the IVL battlegroup.

"At 0500 yesterday morning. MCH-01"Horatio Nelson" was sent from Alpha battlegroup along the southern rim to engage what looked to be a IVL battlegroup containing one WCW4 class Dreadnought, 2 WCW3 class Battlecrusiers, and one WCW5 class Support Dreadnought.

We was somewhat right about that guess. When we warped in we discovered that the largest contact was NOT a WCW4 class ship, instead something totally new. And it appears they totally refitted their WCW3 & WCW5 class ships. The WCW5 alone looks to be able to hold a front line position in their fleets now.

However the biggest threat was the new ship, the other 3 ships broke off and the largest engaged us at maximum range, with what appeared to be advanced rail guns of some sort. Exterior telescopes read the hull and found the ships name "IVL-R01 "Ragnarok" before we started suffering extensive damage from rail gun barrages, only our deflectors saved us from it's other weapons. Advanced beamers and what appeared to be advanced kinetic powered cannons.

We suffered extensive damaged and it was about to bring what appeared to be its main Ion cannons to bear right before we warped out. It appears we may have to be in dry dock for a week or two to fix the damage.

We are not sure if we hurt it or not. It seemed to be extremely hardened. And its weapon power is not like anything we've seen from the IVL. Any group of ships underneath battlegroup level should not engage this ship, but should fall back and wait for it to come to the battlegroup.

*hides under blast shield* goddamn. my bombard *just* took out the WCW4.... and now there's something worse?

*gets in blast chamber*

Tch. I need to start getting into these little arms races.

where can I download WCWs so I can try and face them? I have my Gunship Constitution just itching for a fight.

Look under the W section, the OLD wcw class ships should be there.
I was going to get you direct links but seems I have to find the threads for that.

Oh geeze.

Well, I'm going to have to put my base building prowess on one side of this arms race, but I have no idea with whom.

This isn't a twosided arms race.

I am declaring that my bases will be part of the new arms race, But we have not chosen if we will join someones side or I'ma goin solo

Hmmm.... I might start making some WCW killers as well.

*Intercepted transmission from a Aralonia scout-ship deep in IVL space*

We was sent here on a recon mission right after the incident with the Horatio Nelson incident. We found the ship that mauled her too ...... along with a expanded battlegroup protecting it.

First off is the Energy read-out of the group:

They seem to be running on standby at low power, waiting for something. Perhaps Ulric's raiders? We was lucky they couldn't power up in time to shoot us down before we flew off.

2nd image attachment is the Thermal image we took.


3rd is the basic image we took, sorry for the grain, the camera didn't have enough time to align before they spotted us.


As you can see, they kicked their arms race back up again. Two new ship classes it seems. AND Corvettes. One of the new ships seems to be a carrier of some sort.
