after looking around the forums and been inspired after downloading BSF I started making my first ship.
(I was limited to the SW parts as I don't know what rar files are for. I download the parts but rar files don't seem to do anything. So can some one just give me a quick lesson on what to do with rar files?)
Species.... Human
Faction Name.... Red Foxen Empire
Ship name.... Brisingr (afte the tird eragon book and eragons sword, Brisingr means fire)
so here are different pics of my first ship.

Re: My First ship
These are... really rather horrible, but that's kinda to be expected if you've only got the SW-versions of the stock sprites.
.rar files are like .zip files. Either WinRAR or 7z can unzip them. These are free programs that are very easy to download and to use. So now go grab some good SWA sections (Like Kaelis') and experiment a bit.

Re: My First ship
You know what? That's actually significantly better.
What you need now is a some more variance in the types of sections you use, and a bit more coherence in their positioning. I mean, don't slap them in anywhere just to fill out a shape. Try to fill out multiple shapes on top of each other, if you catch my drift.
Though I can't stop you from interpreting that last bit of advice poorly and making a ship that looks like a cutout of a matroska doll.
