The colours are really off-putting. I'd change that first, prefably to just a grey, and then work from there
The gaps that I can see along the centre of the hull should be filled up, that should be done second
The shading also needs to change, but that doesn't really matter at the moment, with the crappy colour scheme. It's just something to keep in mind when you recolour the sections

The color scheme itself is fine IMO. The problem is that the colors haven't been used in a very effective way to make the ship interesting or show depth.
The ship is generally bland. I'd reconsider the shape of the gray section you have on your ship. The orange front looks like it's been glued onto a flat gray front even in thumbnail size.

This looks decent. There is nothing blatantly bad about the section usage and layout. It does look a bit plain though. It would help a lot if you were to use different shades of gray to give a sense of dimension to the ship.
Also, it's more of a nitpick, but the solid line cutting through the center of your ship doesn't look great. I think the shading is the important thing to develop, but for future reference...

I see jumble and clutter and no sense of what internal placement. Looks like my first ships, in which pieces were slapped on however you liked. Plan a bit more next time.
