Hello to everyone!
This being my first post and all, I've decided to share with you my very first completed ship in BSForever. No, it isn't a great big flying cheese wedge, although it sure looks like one (from a distance). If it were a wedge of cheese though, it would be white feta cheese. Can you guess what it is?

Construction Phase One: Core Assembly
Construction of the Uber Flying Wedge of Death begins in Deep Space at an undisclosed cheesy location.

Image

Construction Phase Two: Integral Superstructure
Assembly continues merrily unabated, with the addition of the frontal core superstructure.

Image

Construction Phase Three: Outer Supports
With the central cheesiness completed, construction of the exterior now begins in earnest, with the addition of temporary outer scaffolding supports. Oh, and it gets a new paint job too!

Image

Construction Phase Four: Flank Supersturcture
Assembly of the side cheesiness is now underway.

Image

Construction Phase Five: Front Hull Section
And now, more cheese!

Image

Construction Phase Six: Outer Superstructure
Construction of the great wedge nears completion!

Image

Construction Phase Seven: Linking with parallel-constructed half
The great big wedge merges with its twin. Installation of Weapon Systems, Shields, and other combat systems commences.
Now, do you see what this is?

Yes, it is a Imperial II class Star Destroyer (with slight modifications). Done to death already I know, but I just couldn't resist taking my own shot at it. And so, here it is:

Image

Designation: Imperial IIHC class Star Destroyer
Length: 1602 metres
Maximum Acceleration: >2300G
Hyperspace class: 1
Powerplant: Hypermatter Annihilation Reactor
Hull: Neutronium with Durasteel Carbide Reinforcing
Shielding: Multiple KDY-73j deflector shields
Targeting Systems: LaGrange Targeting Matrices

Armament:

44 XV-9 Medium Turbolasers
8 XX-9 Heavy Turbolasers
12 ASV-7 Repeating Laser Cannons
16 J-2 Point Defense Lasers
4 NK-11 Ion Shock Cannons
4 Capital Grade Proton Torpedo Launchers
2 CL-4 Anti-Starfighter Shrapnel Launchers
2 Phylon Q9 Tractor Beams
1 Z-0 Hyperlaser Cannon

Fighter Complement:

60 TIE/ln Space Superiority Fighters
12 TIE/Sa Heavy Ordnance Fighter/Bomber

EDIT: ISD with turbolasers that aren't beams now available for download

Download Here

Also fixed in this version: Reload times on all weapons, especially TIE launch bays (Demeters) Those were unintentionally set to ridiculous fire rates and reload times.

But wait.. Thats not all!

Image

Thats right! For the sheer heck of it, here is the Corellian Corvette from the opening chase scene in A New Hope to scale! (sort of.. >.<)

A note of caution: the ISD is extremely performance intensive. Be prepared for single-digit framerates. Also, I am quite inexperienced at weapons design. I have tried to balance them as best as I can, but do not expect reasonable load outs. If you wish to outfit the ISD with your own weapons loadout, here are the blank templates, both full and halved versions in one zip file:

Do let me know what you think of ships, and have fun with them!!

Haha, yes well.. The idea of turbolaser bolts being intercepted in mid flight by point defences didn't sit very well with me  When I do find the time, I'll see what I can do about refitting it with blasters or something. In the mean time, do create your own versions with the blank templates! :)

Hmm, try refreshing the page. I get that problem on occasion as well. Photobucket is not as reliable as I'd like it to be >.<

God damn, that's beautiful work. Looks much better than my crappy Executor... looks bigger, too. But that's only because there was a limit on how large I could make it!

I... am so jealous of your mad skills right now... I made an ISD too... not even half as good as that.

Time to go drown my sorrows in Orange Tic-Tacs.

Hehe, I'm kidding, but I am jealous, and that is amazing work.
