With the last ship, change the centre sections so that they are dark grey. That way they contrast better with the red glowy doodads. Also, some of the the sections on the arms are misaligned, correct that. Some of those sections could be darker as well

Edit: with that ship you posted just then, the one you added onto, it is probaly best to fill in the gaps that are under the glowy spheres that are on the outermost sections, they don't really fit

The upgrades you're adding onto the ship are beginning to look a bit dodgy, the new sections kinda look like they've been bolted on. It doesn't look bad, but I think it's time you started working on a new ship, move onto bigger and better things
