I return.

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

I return.

Post by Lizzie »

Since an issue that was stopping me from participating in ship building has been resolved, I've made something.

Coloring/doodads will come later when I feel like getting to it.

For the most part, I like it. The majority of the section work is very appealing, especially on the rear struts.

That said, the connections between the main hull and the outer struts seems rather thin and weak, like a sharp turn could snap them off.
Also, there is a vertical line on the forward struts that stands out and chops what is otherwise some very nice flow.

I'm looking forward to color/details, and glad you're ship building again.

Decided to go do something a bit more traditional for my skill set.

Let's see:
-Clean and it doesn't look like it's going to fall apart any second.
-Reasonable colouring, some glow, both without looking ridiculous.
-Circular sections kind of stand out from the rest of the ship for me.
I'm green with envy.

What's that yellow thing floating in the air?

Anyway, I like the way you've colored. The shape of the ship is very good. The blue glow at the front just seems... I feels like you should put blue another place on the ship to make it feel more... coherent? I also feel that some of the circles (mainly near the edges of the hull) break away from the more square or rigid feeling of the ship.

Otherwise pretty cool.

A coloring piece I can copy and paste if I want to color the ship some more, it'll be removed upon completion.

LOVELY markings. Simply fantastic. It's been a long time since I saw something genuinely fresh, but here it is.

I'm glad you've gotten back to shipbuilding after all. It's a fairly small and simple ship, so I can't say WHOA AWESOME I'M BLOWN AWAY but it's a solid design. Good coloring and sectionwork, nothing I can really nitpick about.

Dude, I can almost sing.

The ship is really quite right up your alley, and I really dig the semi-glow gold in the small ship. Looking like you're back in the game, Lizzie.

Love the new use of the circle sections for the connectors.
Congratulations. You're a textbook definition of a troll. -Danny
