CE's occasional shipbuilding.

Hail Folks.

I haven't been posting ships other than the ones in Metagame for quite a while. As I don't have much time to access a computer that is capable to use shipmaker quite frequently (My Macbook can't, I tried to install WINE and run BSF, but it made no avril.) Anyway, here is a peek to my recent attempt to bring back the Earth Coalition Fleet at SWA awesomeness.

*Plays some glorious orchestral music*

Yes, I was fond of vVhorpax's realistic style, and I wanted to mimmick his style of building the ship's internals. Thus here's is a 'x-ray' shot of the ship.

C&C would be appricated.

I struggle with getting the shape of the ship I want onto SM, let alone integrate the weapon systems into the ship to make it look good.

Yours practically is 100% what I want out of my ship designs. Unfortunately, they come out haphazardly wrong...

Your ships have always looked different than other people's, at least the ECF. Maybe its the colors you use but their all very cool compact battleships. I like the 'x-ray' view, though I can't see much of what you actually did inside it. I think your right that building that way will gain popularity. Nice to see some of your new sprites in action and I look forward to fighting some well put together ships!

Thanks for the compliments. Anyway, I found the hull shape of the Archer-class not as satisfactory as I pictured in my mind, so I made a major overhaul:

Haven't built any ships lately due to RL issues.

Anyway, I had put together a new ship, the Nightraven:

It doesn't have any backstory yet... but I might use this style as the 3rd power in my IWC storyline.

Comments?

Not exactly, raven like, nor night like, both of which are black.
But a neat looking ship, just the pinkish colors don't quite work.

^Same here, the ship doesn't really evoke a dark feel to it like the name implies.

Well, that's just a random name pops out of my mind suddenly.

It's a good design, and I like the colors, but the sections under don't really do anything. They look crappy.

It's a blurry mess. Still, it's not bad for you.

I will take that as a compliment from you.

Anyway, a new WIP:

It's been a while since my last post, I am running out of juice due to recent RL issues.

Something nostalgic

Sorta a revamp of the Petrov-class Frigate, something I put together in my spare time.

C&C please.

i like what you've done with the archer-class, the second is definately a big improvement and it was pretty good to start with!

the trebuchet is mainly good, the only problem that i think you chould fix is that the missile pods look like they've just been bolted onto the sides - it doesn't flow properly

@vidboi: Will fix that soon.

Nothing too spectacular, but well:
