KalTech Heavy Industries is pleased to present our first warships for general viewing. Unfortunately, at this time, these vessels are under refit to Alliance standards - some of them, unfortunately, are completely unusable for the Alliance and affiliates - but general public feedback in the form of constructive criticism is much appreciated.

First thing I want you to do is jump straight into converting your ships sections into the newer style.

Grab yourself a prepared set of all available SWA-style sprites and the config file for the Ship Maker to use them from here.


It looks like you're still getting the hang of the Ship Maker. Do you know how to replace sections on a ship?

Swapping out sections is easy. Switch to group mode by pressing the ~ key. Then bring up the single group view by pressing Z.

Now you're set: Select an old section and then right-click on a sprite from the group view (that you brought up along the right side of the screen from pressing Z) to swap it. Pressing 1, 2, 3 and 4 will toggle between the four groups of sprites available from the download.


Once you're done with that and made necessary adjustments, allow us to take another look at update screenshots.

i'm new to this site, but not to the game..from what i've read, the color scheme on your fleet could use some tweaking

Yes. The blue could be a bit brighter and you may want to lower the saturation.
Switching sprites will also help. Otherwise, your ships are pretty average for a new forumer. I hope to see some more fleets from you.
