Sterotypical Newbie

I've been a member of these forums for a long time, played BSF off an on for a long time, and tried my hand a couple of times at shipbuilding, but I've finally decided to share and get broadsided by constructive criticism.

First up, what does every newbie like to make, a fan ship. (I won't bother uploading my earlier works, I have a horrible sub par feeling about them)

I hadn't intended to do a fanship to be honest, but when I saw a certain sprite my mind instantly recognized the basic form of one of my favorite other-universe ships of all time, and refused to let it rest. I simply will never be able to use this piece for anything else, ever.

Syn_sec09, I blame whoever made that piece.

Here you see the Mod Starbridge in its natural habitat, in Escape Velocity: Nova.

And here the the Mod Starbridge BSF Class. Armed with Gli-Tech packeted energy weapons technology, specifically Medium Blasters, and sport quad light blaster turrets for point defense, the Mod Starbridge is fast, maneuverable, and deadly in the hands of a capable pilot.

Feedback is appreciated, but it was more of a compulsory thing.

Other questions of mine are, I see a lot of this "SW" style floating around, and in one sprite thread saw something about converting to SW format, is this some other shipbuilding program? A set of sprite and parameters for the standard program?

Thank in advance, AhrenJB

TSA style is just a different set of custom sprites.
See the custom content section for details - just download the packs, drag/drop the images into SM to create new sections with those sprites.

I'm surprised to see it took all these years for someone to try a Mod Starbridge plug in this game.

Oh come on, you can't tell me this hasn't been done before.

BTW, making an updated SWize version.

Isn't that just a default planet?

That's from another game or tv series, I think.

As stated, the first screenshot is from EV:Nova. The planet with the ring around it would be Sol/Terra: the towers are massive space elevators or whatever you call 'em, and the ring itself is a massive industrial/docking area.

Huge portions of which are owned by massive corporate entities, primarily Sigma Shipyards, but also United Shipping, Gli-Tech, and Pyrogenesis. :P
