Oh and btw does the wepon stay at the depth fo its parent section?

Yes, but remember to MIRROR first THEN depth the weapon, otherwise you'll get an parenting error.

Heh. I like the shape of your ND-01
If not the section usage, placement and ect.
Keep the double wing look, but try different sprites, the generic Kae sprites are useful for somethings, but when spammed they don't work. Hey trust me I did something stupid with em a while back too.
The ND-00 is just another standard shape, with poor section placement, also both have poor use of coloration. These are rather obviously newbie ships, what you might want to do is spend a few weeks playing with them until YOU think they look really good and then post them up.

But I must admit the new ones are better than the old ones.

And weapons are on top of all, unless they are depthed in which case they are considered to be on top of its parent but under any higher sections. Like they were stuck between its parent and the next one higher.

Try getting OpenGL to work nicely with C++
Its a monster I tells ya.

Just remember not to hit w before ya mirror, and if you do need to mirror hit w on the turrets that are already depthed to undepth them then mirror and redepth them.

Its a coding bug that needs to be fixed, causes things to crash if you mirror something that has already been depthed and try to load it into BSF.

Lol i just figured that out had to reset my spirites and everything! :x

Its suckes i hope its fixed soon but in the mean time i will remember to always place but never depth then mirror

Never clone or reparent a depthed weapon or module.

First you must turn off depth, then reparent/clone it. Finally, turn depth back on.

The first few ships were not that good...for a beginner it might have been good but thanks to those who have respomded to my post's and stuff i have learned and come to realize that my ships are pretty much EPIC FAILS!
So the first few ships i have had are not going to be tweaked with for about another oh...6-8 months because i was aiming too high for my level but i have made a few new ships and they are Corvettes but tell me what do you think?

(I know this one is all white, I have it that way for my custom colors)

You know, they aren't actually that bad. NP-00 could use a little work on section usage, but they're a good start. Continue in this direction, and see where it leads you.

Thanks i had a problem in the first test... for some reason when ever i would spawn the NC-00 it's wepons would be undepthed and i couldn't figure out why.

Any suggestions on why that would happen?

You probably mirrored after you depthed them. Mirror the ships with weapons undepthed, then depth them.

that would make it so that the game would say that there was parenting error and it would bug me until i said abort...I think my brother had the same problem :?
