cycerin's ~Space Chippe Shoppe~

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Thread time.

Blackrock Drive Yards Battleship - BDY Sachumodo
This particular one uses like a lil' bit of every single good looking section pack that has been released so far.

Blackrock Drive Yards Heavy Destroyer - BDY Nevermore

Here I can post some misc things that pop up since everything I do ends up on IRC or in the metagame threads lately. Comments appreciated~

Aw man, I'm about to spooge all over this thread.

The Sachumodo is especially pretty and shapely to boot. If you put it through the metagame and it ever gets approved, rest assured, I'll order one pronto.

I must say, my absolute favorite would be... well, for lack of a better way to identify it:

this one. Very well done all around though.

By the way, for the "Uh, I dunno" have you considered closing out the back? I think it'd work better. Dunno.

Nice ships.
The Blackrock Drive Yard ships are a bit too colorful for me but there still pretty awesome. The "uh i dunno" ship look a bit to random and jumbled. I'm not sure I really like it. Your older stuff looks really nice. I really like your use of doodads and glows on these ships.

The last two ships are... I don't know, Shiny?
I don't know about you; But I generally don't store games in RAM.

My intention is to get it approved eventually. I still have to polish its armament etc.

The "I dunno" ship is a bit too cluttered in my opinion. It could use more "branches" outwards and a more simplified (and shorter) hull.
If admirals hate and trash your ships,
If you can't get it right;
Then off you go, but don't call quits;
Just go make custom sprites.

I think it needs a bit of green to fit in with rest of your ships.

Just my opinion though.

I think its fine as it is, unless it is something for your meta-ships. Can we get a weapon loadout?

The Scarab in my corporation thread is the Blackrockized version of that ship. You can download it there, too.

Now I have a question: how did you get the glowy-distort on the back spikes?

Looks like fake aegis with spread and aegis blur of 3 or more and the color just enough above black to make a subtle glow: blurs of three or more make the effect SUPER BRIGHT unless your color is barely above black.

At least, that's how I'd have done that.
