I have not read Sundiver, what's it about?

now, I haven't got a clue how to arm this abomination appropriately

Its about ghosts in the sun, if i recall correctly.

As for weapons, pulsars can look cool if you do it right, or you could try to adapt those flame sprites to a beam. Actually, if you can make a flame sprite that would work as a beam, you could use a teller with 360 deviation and high burst to create a badass mini sun. Again with the right animated flame sprite, a driver could look cool.

Adapted driver sprite, may use it. I would like to create some sort of unique sprite for a beam as well.

Yea, I'll swap the colours when I get the chance - do you think it would make them look better?

I'll upload all custom content 'when it's done' there are a fair few things which need to be adressed first.

Not only should it look better, but will also be physically correct, as red parts of "flame" are cooler than the yellow ones.

But even now it looks great and it's pleasurable to look at this...

Very nice, I can't wait to see what else you come up with. Have you thought of having animated flame gifs as exhausts for the thrusters? Not on the engines but all over the ship so when it starts moving fast flames flare up?

Most people here agree that photobucket is way better than image shack. There was a discussion about it too I think.
