I call this line of ships the gorgons. The idea is they exclusivly use pulse weapons and reapeters as weapons, and rely on heavy armor rather then sheilds. I'de like to know what people think of them.

Thanks for the info on how to find new ship parts ArcaneDude, I switched a lot of the old peices with more complex peices for these new versions, but i kept most of the same weapons, I'm not sure wheather the're better or worse though.

First off, welcome to the forums.
The ships are accepteable for first time ships, they follow the set theme nicely, and for once they're not overgunned penisbricks of fail.
A few tips, though.
When creating a wedge shape, try not to revert to repetition. It makes a ship less interesting overall, and just looks bad. Use several different sections, tilt them, change color to simulate depthing, and so on and so forth.
Second, though your general section usage is okay, I noticed you've only used the first set of sections in the stock .ini. If you press "ù" and then the number keys 1,2,3,4 (underneath the function keys) you can switch section sets. You can even make your own .ini's using 'Group Arrange', which is under 'Tools' in the Shipmaker.
That's about it for now, I look forward to seeing more, and will try giving more tips as you go.

I really do like the looks of those ships. I like the old sprites, anyway; mainly because they're what I'm used to, and don't wanna go nuts trying to add in all the custom spites and such.
