I like the new models and the fact that you've managed to merge the weapons into the body rather seamlessly. In fact, I'd like to ask where did you get the sprites (for the weapons, I mean). Your ships are really... well-shaped, IMHO, and the colourscheme is pretty interesting. A great effort.

Same as above. Great ships.

All the weapon sprites came from se7en's post here: http://www.wyrdysm.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4459

I'm currently working on both returning the weapons to stock defaults, then uploading them for DL.

And thanks!

Shiny. Have you considered porting the NP series style to meta specs? You could probably do pretty well in the corporate market.

Remember though, higher areas should be lighter, and lower areas darker.

PS: You have colour mismatch on the NP-9, at the front of the rear 'wings'.

Excellent. I love how your style evolved from your first post. I mean, seriously, look how far you have come. It's incredible!

As for the ships, I think some of your ships ARE a bit 2 dimensional. As other people say, have an idea where the highest point on your ship is. TSA sections can be tricky in that they themselves have varying shades, so it may mean throwing out a few sections simply because it isn't "white" enough.

Your shapes are excellent, but i think it's just a lack of center. It's like artwork--you find a "center of interest" that should be the most attention drawing, and everything else is just background. Try using this technique on your ships, and I assure thee that your ships will transcend the heavens, if they already haven't.

EDIT: I'm just wondering what weapon sprites you used for LOS#-98 and 97. Those red striped thingys.

The NP-9's missles are stock powered, but I modified them to have more tracking and a higher launching arc. They also fire all the missiles simultaneously  . 1 NP-9 is quite good at lagging up your computer.

Sorry, it isn't there. I found what I was looking for, nevertheless, in this thread: http://www.wyrdysm.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4516

Amazing and sexy, nevertheless. I need to get back into shipbuilding.

Ta-da!

Actual balanced weapons, my friends  .

I calculated the weaponary threat cost for most of the NP series... and they're gapingly over the threat of the ship  . The NP-9 alone sports 12 missile racks.

Ok, the front and back do not match. The ship seems mostly terran to me, but the curvature of the bow sorta disproportionates that a bit. Try making the front a bit more... beefy.

Beefing the first ship...

Nifty. That is an improvement. Maybe move the kae dtl 23s on the wings outward a bit and fit some fixed guns inside?

I actually do like the shape of the np9, though I would have done the internal section placement different, you did a great job!

The ship looks nifty, but it still seems a little disporportionate. The head is rather short in comparison to the rest of the body.
