I like the first one. It looks very nice.
The second one is also good but there's something that bothers me. I think it's the light gray sections one the edge of the front parts of the ship.

1st, artistic in a backwards way, but needs something in front to connect the curves.

2nd... half eaten chicken... :?

I like x2 much better than x6.
Design is more coherent, and the shape is better. Less clutter too.

It ought to remind you of something  .

Edit: Thanks for catching that, Arcalane!

Coming along nicely since that early WIP... especially the LOS-x3

Not too keen on the shapes of the others, and the way the colours are done on all of them seems a bit... haphazard.

Also, you effed up the mirroring/depthing on the x3, bottom center.

I honestly have no idea how to color :? ... Any suggestions? All I know is color schemes.

Now for a ship built around a weapon!

LOS-x1

The two glowing section on the outer hull are supposed to be "fuel indicators", they drain when the main laser fires, and regenerate when it's offline. Check out the DL to see what I mean.

Edit: Drew inspiration from a certain Halo weapon, don't know it's name, though :? .

Edit2: I've tried messing around with the colors, but I can't get them to look all the same at default.

Ergo, i'm releasing the LOS-x1 to see if anyone can edit the colors as so and show me how.

I really like this. Nice use of fake aegis too.

I think what Arc meant about the coloring/shading is that things that are "higher up" should be lighter, and things that are lower should be darker, whereas right now you have dark grey/light grey mixed hapazardly.

That sniper does look nice! clear inspiration to the Type-1 Energy Weapon/Sword (Halo sword, Plasma sword, energy sword)
How much longer do we have to wait before you make a awesome flagship/capital ship???
I was kinda expecting the LOS-X1 to be the Flagship....

So that's what it was  .

Well, the LOS-x101 is the largest ship, but it's still "experimental" (not to mention that it's backstory doesn't work in-game :? ). I'll work on a transforming capital ship as soon as I get some more practice with sectioning, depth and pattering. I'll probably get to it after LOS-x10.

Edit: @Droid
I've set the default color to gray, the only coloring i've done are the white highlights and the Faux Aegis sections. Is there something I should set?

Now I totally see the halo Covenant sword thing, although its not that close but could still look awesome...Should make a beam sprite with an angled tip then use it with a massive beamer on either side so it creates that double blade effect. Just set it up with a driver so you can limit the range.

Well, the intention for gray usage (or with any colors, really) is to simulate "depth".

Instead of just using two shades of gray (white and gray), you should use a variety of shades to make it so that you have white as what is supposed to be the highest (depth-wise) and dark gray to what is intended to be the lowest. It generally looks a lot better.

Using only faux aegis for coloring is fine.

LOS-x7 Carrier done, along with the LOS-x4 Strike Fighter!

It was more of an experiment with coloring than an actually "good looking" ship. Did I do it right?
