Chainship project 2: Ship harder

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Chainship project 2: Ship harder

Post by Verminator »

Here's the actual construction thread. Here's our start:

what we end up with is up to the participants.

Once AD receives the file, he's got three days in which to build, and then upload what he's done and give it to the next in line. Let's go make something good, guys!

Be advised that my submission is going to make our little 'mold' substantially different. I may even be doing too much, I'm never sure. <.<

There we go:

Chainship.shp

If I've done too much, the next in line should feel free to chop off any part he/she can't use, especially the legs may be a little much for a first-in-line.

Normally, all you need is Kae's mecha pack, plus whatever sections Verm used. Nothing special or self-made. If a problem does pop up, just prod me and I'll upload the necessary sections.

Not bad, AD. Should be interesting to see what Se7en comes up with.

If anyone wants to discuss the project in real time, the chainship IRC channel is irc://irc.rizon.net/bsfchainshipyards. You people can just idle there if you want.

Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeh haven't made a curvy ship in a while, so I didn't really fell happy adding too much, that and everything else i tried looked cluttered and ugly and limited the options for everyone else.

I fixed a couple of parenting errors, the front arms and center back prongs were parented incorrectly.

OH and feel free to completly change the back, I don't feel that it is as good as the rest

Wow, this is not going as expected. This is still a good thing. Both of these get the stamp of approval. Silverware, you're up.

That is pretty cool. I'm not sure how chainships work but is the ship going to end up green?

And the prize for silliest question of the week goes to you.

Look at the schedule, after the hull's done we've got like five people working on color.

Silverware's abysmal entry has been tossed into the Hall of Shame, as an example of what NOT do to when building a chainship.

Normally, I would not intervene, but this was a situation that warranted it.

There are not enough expletives in all the languages of the world to accurately get across how that entry fails. There really aren't.

The others have already said why it's so bad, so I have nothing further to add here.
