More nooby creations. Catastrophe: I have returned

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Oh my Sick Religious Holy Figure!
That is one slick ship, nice coloration, nice sectioning, cool use of doodads, only griff is the nose of the ship is kinda strange to me, it opens up closes then opens up again.
Maybe making it just open up would look better.
What I mean by this is the sections that leave holes in the middle.

Also it would be nice to see it on a different background color just to make it easier to see the shape, i find that SW sprites need a light background color to show up most effectively.

But keep up the great work.

The doodads on the inside of the wings don't flow well with the rest of the ship. otherwise, I like the shape of the body.

the doodads on the inside of the wings look like pointers to entrances or fighter bays, but there's no apparent bay opening there. The other doodads flow well and are nice otherwise (though there are a TON of them). I also like the color scheme and depthing.

What exactly is the point of the transformation? and are the wing-parts supposed to move towards the center after they finish rotating like that?

I think it may lead from move mode to attack mode?

Switch the wing support strut with the original: why I suggested the transformation in the first place was because the first section was curved--the piece now is straight and doesn't look as pretty.

Good work though--you've already outdone me by a lot.
If admirals hate and trash your ships,
If you can't get it right;
Then off you go, but don't call quits;
Just go make custom sprites.

Triggers don't affect modules (like thrusters) right now, nor is there any other way to disable or slow a craft via triggers. So, there's no real deployment for artillery or anything like that possible yet (so, no moving from "move mode" to anything - you're always in "move mode").

I just made the animation for fun. Perhaps when the wings close, the ship jumps into hyperspace? lol. The hole no longer opens up closes then opens again. I also tried fixing the doodads. Now what?

Hmm. Animation is messed up at the end.

It looks like you're rotating and moving an end section to give the impression of rotating around a specific point. Is that how you're doing it? If not, the rotation seems to be a little wonky at the sections closest to the centerline of the ship. I'd suggest attaching the end section of the wing to a section at the coordinates around which you'd like to rotate the wings, then just rotate that section.

Also, now that you've added the dark grey ... things to each wing pointing at the ship, they don't line up with the blue doodads. So, what is the point of those doodads and the dark grey thingies? They almost looked like figher bays before, but now I just have no idea.

The coloring on that is awesome!You made multiple sections look like one textured piece. Plus its spiky and baddass looking. The only part that really bugs me is the nose pieces, not sure why though. The engine(?) could be a little closer to the body since the rest of it is pretty compact but thats away from the main hull.

I like it. Great coloring, as stated. I think the thing with the nose is they seem to lack the color and placement of the rest of the ship. Kinda like they were just stuck on there.

Wow. That's really good. Reminds me of a ship out of Raystorm or Einhander.

It's really good though, the section usage is good, the coloring isn't obnoxious, the glows are thought out, and the overall design works. I really can't see anything wrong with it.
It's not my fault I can't take your post seriously.
