hi, I'm new here, I lurked for a while, and now I have gathered up enough confidence to post a ship, that being said, here I go:
AX-54 SYM "Alpha Wolf" Light Destroyer
this ship is the precursor to the Wolfhound. It features sturdy construction, two prototype particle bolt rifles, and twin railguns as long-range weaponary. This ship does not feature any shielding, only a double front hull keeps it from becoming scrap metal in the battlefield.
for close combat the Alpha Wolf possesses two blaster cannons, as well as a gattling blaster. the blasters have been modified to pepper the opponent with a shower of low-power projectiles that significantly less damage than standard blasters. a pair of machineguns round out the bow, and twin blasters cover the aft. the ship is protected by a series of rapid-fire particle guns, and is very susceptible to beam weaponary.
X-54 SYM "Wolfhound" Light Destroyer
(the aegised "nubs" in the rear are fake)
The wolfhound is adeptly armed and shielded, based on the original "Alpha Wolf" design, some armor was removed, and the central thruster dismantled in order to incorporate new and powerful technologies. Two experimental aegis deflectors have been installed as a lightweight replacement for the original armor paneling.
The Wolfhound keeps to tradition, and utilizes the original gattling blaster as its sister ship, though the blaster and machineguns have been replaced by gattling pulse and regular pulse cannons respectively. the railguns have also been replaced by a pair of beam lasers. Two high-velocity missile launchers round out the frontal armament.
a more reliable replacement for the particle bolt rifles were added instead on the rotating platforms. four burst-fire machineguns on each wing ensures a generous spread of bullets in the enemy. the original particle guns were outmoded and eventually replaced by point-defense lasers, though a pair still remain in the aft, the long-replaced technology gave these the nickname of: "chicago pianos"
-----------------------------------------------
also, I don't think these ships are wank (though feel free to try it out for yourself), as I beat it (with some difficulty) using a cronus. two of these in tandem was able to cook a leviathan in around 2:30. Balance can be decided by the experts who are willing to contribute a small portion of time to help test the ships (no obligations).
critz and comments welcome, harsh truth if need be, as I realize (after browsing around) that it's the only way for me to improve.
EDIT: here's the current DL links for evaluation

Ya know, this ship has potential but first of all; I highly reccomend that you change the color no BLUE by its self its Eyeburn throw in some dark greys and light greys to help fix that. Also the rotating gun thing would be more interesting with like a turret thing. Hmm thats all, Oh welcome to the forums.
My sig is under attack by commie mods!
