Neo-BC Industries
Neo-BC Industries
BC Industries was an old warship building company. Although the ships were cheap, sales quickly fell, possibly due to both the policies of the CEOs (embezzlement of funds primarily), and the poor quality of the designs. It is also come to surface that the company's HQ fell under attack from a rival corporation, and surviving assets were assimilated into the attacker's company.
Around a century had passed since the fall of the company. Two entrepreneurs, Kelsy Berkowitz and David Crowfield, discovered the defunct company. After a small amount of legal work, the company was allowed to rise again. The only restriction was that the company was unable to create and build warships larger than frigate class.
The resurrected company, however, found the restriction more than adequate. After purchasing an old unused orbital shipyard, the founders began creating blueprints. Many use high-tech weaponry, as well as new alloys for hulls.
Neo-BC Industries is currently seeing a higher profit than it had ever seen during it's time as BC Industries. NBCI is currently filling out orders to hundreds of trading companies and mercenary units, as well as purchases for personal use.
-----------------------------------
The Cestrinus-Class Frigate is a new design to roll off the assembly line. Bordering a destroyer in firepower, it is in fact an extension on the Circe-Class Corvette, partially redesigned for additional strength.
Layered in 5 meters of Cobalt-Titanium, this ship can also lose 60% of it's hull before secondary systems begin to shut down. Due to this, many fledgling companies have ordered several, despite the pricing.
Price: 50,250,000 Credits
Armaments: 2x Twin-Linked XK-21 Blaster Cannons
2x Durandal Particle Beam Cannons
2x Excalibur Missile Array, 10 shots per launcher
Drive Core:2x Kurita-Cuga Heavy Drive, in case of failure of one drive.
Hull: 5 meter thick Cobalt-Titanium Alloy
The Circe-Class Assault Corvette is very well armed, and has a standard, yet durable, Cobalt-Titanium Alloy hull.
Fast and agile, this craft can dodge most incoming fire while retaliating with immense firepower for it's size.
Price: 12,900,000 Credits
Armament: 2x Twin-Linked XK-21 Blaster Cannons
2x 11" Kinetic Cannons
2x Durandal Particle Beam Cannons
Drive Core: 1x Kurita-Cuga Medium Drive
Hull: 60-cm thick Cobalt-Titanium Alloy
The Nyx-Class is a very lightly armed and armored corvette. Sporting a special heat-absorbent interior and a refrigerated outer hull, the Nyx can enter a 'stealth mode' of sorts, evading radar and thermal sensors, but remaining visible to the naked eye.
Even with the refrigerated hull, however, the heat must be vented eventually, or the interior will heat up enough to cook the crew alive.
Price:100,000,000 Credits, not available for civilian purchase.
Armament:2x XK-11 Plasma Cannons
Drive Core: 1x Kurita-Cuga Heavy Drive
Hull: 2 meter-thick Cobalt-Titanium alloy, coated in a classified material; 24 standard Cryo-stasis generators buried throughout the hull
The Lycus-Class Missile Frigate is exactly what it sounds like. Although it can put out a large number of missiles, the missile racks are it's only weapon. As such, it is recommended to have this ship under a good deal of escort, unless the customer feels like wasting a nice sized investment.
Price: 11,000,000 Credits
Armament: 6x Sledgehammer Missile Racks, 30 per rack
Drive Core: Darwin Medium Drive
Hull: 2.5 meter thick Cobalt-Titanium
The Minos-Class Corvetteis somewhat larger than others in it's class, due to it's extended survival capabilities. This system allows minimal maneuvering and movement after the engines have been removed. It's experimental jump drive also requires no power from the main engines, so removing the ship from combat will be relatively simple.
It's also using experimental particle rifles, and this corvette will be essential in evaluating their effectiveness. The drive core will also become standard on all corvettes upon successful testing and calibration.
Price: 1,000,000 credits
Armaments: 2x Type-L1 Particle Rifles
2x Sledgehammer Missile Racks
2x XK-11 Plasma Cannons
Drive Core: Wardinghead Light Drive
Hull: 1 meter thick Cobalt-Titanium Alloy
The Callisto Corvette resembles an old atmospheric fighter. Armed with two Particle Rifles and two High Velocity Kinetic Impact missiles, it has earned it's place as a very powerful ship worth it's weight in gold.
The missiles, although lacking a chemical or nuclear warhead, are capable of high amounts of damage thanks to the solid tungsten warhead.
Price: 1.5 million Credits
Armaments: 2x Type-L1 Particle Rifles
2x Staff Kinetic Missile System
Drive Core: Wardinghead Light Drive
Hull: 1-meter Cobalt-Titanium Alloy
The Triton Corvette is the first to sport torpedoes. The torpedoes are not chemical however, but anti-matter.
Newly developed by NBIC R&D, they fire packets of anti-matter within a magnetic tether created by the launcher. The anti-matter is then funneled along the 'tube,' impacting with the object on the other side. The 'tether' is relatively easy to break, unfortunately.
The drain on the reactor also only allows two torpedo systems to be mounted.
Price: 10,300,000 Credits
Armaments: 2x Incinerator Torpedo System
Drive Core: Wardinghead Medium Drive
Hull: 1-meter thick Cobalt-Titanium Alloy
The Semele Class Frigate uses a new hull alloy, making it stand out from the rest of NBCI's ships. It's speed is comparable to a heavy corvette, and it's weaponry can make an enemy's day exceedingly bad in short order.
Due to the new hull techniques, very few are available. Only two are to be placed for any order at this time. This will be in effect for an undetermined amount of time.
Price: 80 Million Credits
Armaments: 1x Excalibur Neutron Beam Cannon
2x Sledgehammer Missile rack (30 missiles per rack)
2x L-1 Particle Rifles
Hull: 2 meter thick High Gravity Forged Cobalt-Titanium
Drive Core: 1x Heavy Kurita-Cuga drive
The Oeneus Class Assault Frigate is the toughest NBCI ship to-date. It has to be, due to it's Anti-Capital spinal-mounted beam cannon. It's only other weapon is an experimental railgun, capable of punching through armor plating as if it were paper.
The massive power requirements were too great for a single drive core alone, and as such, there are three mounted on the ship. One on top, one on the bottom, and one in the reactor room inside the ship. The ship can handle losing a single drive core before being forced to shut down systems.
This ship marks the mass production of both the Oeneus Class and the Semele Class, so customers can now order as many as they please.
Price: 90 Million Credits
Armaments:
1x Excalibur Positron Beam Cannon
1x Experimental Railgun
Hull: 3 meter thick High Gravity Forged Cobalt-Titanium Alloy
Drive Core: 3x Kurita-Cuga drive
The Vor-Class Defense Platform is a small defense station, armed to the teeth. A grid of five can repel an assault from a single Oeneus-Class, or several Triton Classes.
When ordered, a contractor local to your region will be contacted for construction purposes.
Price: 135 Million Credits
Armaments:
4x Staff Kinetic Missile System
2x Sledgehammer Missile System
5.5 Meter HGF Cobalt Titanium Alloy
TheRindr-Class is the natural evolution of the Triton Class, mounting the same torpedo systems as the smaller ship. However, the drain is still quite a bit from the reactor, and as such can only mount two missile arrays, in addition to the essential systems.
BCI R&D is currently attempting to design a heavier drive reactor due to the strain it places on the existing one, though progress has been slow.
Price: 100 Million Credits
Armaments:
2x Incinerator Torpedo Systems
2x Sledgehammer Missile Systems
3.5 meter HGF Cobalt-Titanium Alloy

The first two are flawless to my mind.
The third ones' grey clashes with green awfully. Too 90 degreed.
The depthing on fourth is rather mind-defying as it seems that forward armour is higher than everything else.
All-in-all they are good. Although rather small for frigates.
Looking forward to downloading them and then breaking them at my Ferventis station...

I don't give a damn.
