So, I'm sort of back, and I am starting to build up some ships and so on. At the moment I'm working on just ships, and maybe later I'll convert them into a fleet. Okay, let's start them.
Fighter Wing
Drain Bomber
Torpedo Cruiser
Asterian Cruiser

No offence but that cruiser looks...
Fragile to say the least.

I just put it together somehow. I will retry on it.

I don't mind it being fragile looking but you only used aegis on the first and second gaps and it looks horrible and mismatched with the rest of the ship. That said I like the middle hull, although you might drop the depth of the blue parts on either end.

Better?

Much better.
It's front looked like it'd fall off the moment someone inside sneezed.

There are only three thin pylons connecting the front and the back. That thing's gonna snap in half the moment it makes a 180 turn.

Maybe replace the center pylon with a section a bit beefier, but it otherwise is a good improvement over the older version.
Sorta random, but the bomber has a lot less blue then the other two ships.

mmm True. I will make the Bombers edges blue, and change the Torpedo Cruisers centeral connecting piece with something bigger.
EDIT: @ArcaneDude: The ship would be dead by one or two fighters going for it. It is meant to be with the Fighters and Bombers.
EDIT": Is this better:

Lack of detail, and a small use of sections, not my taste here.
The colors could use a better shade, are these pics made in shipmaker or not?

Is it just me, or does the the cruiser look like its towing another ship?
As, in, dragging it with cables. It looks awfully fragile.

They are and I am currently working on bigger ships.

I'd stay with small ones first, for example, the torpedo cruiser looks extremely fragile.

I really don't get why everyone hates on spindly ships - not everything has to be some huge great penis extension covered head to toe in armour. Been playing a bit of Rogue Squadron - anyone remember the Rebel's frigate? That ship's drive section was a good few hundred meters from the main hull, connected only by a single shaft. Sure, it looks like it would break hella fast under fire, but at least it's set a precedent for more than simple lumps of metal to exist as sci-fi space ships.
I for one like the idea of the Torpedo Cruiser, but I think there's still room to develop the idea. It's always nice to see something a little fresh on these forums, no matter what those ship-building conservatives say

I like the style on these ships. The first thing I thought when i saw the cruiser is that it looks like a Caldari Ferox.
