So, I'm sort of back, and I am starting to build up some ships and so on. At the moment I'm working on just ships, and maybe later I'll convert them into a fleet. Okay, let's start them.
Fighter Wing
Drain Bomber
Torpedo Cruiser
Asterian Cruiser

There are only three thin pylons connecting the front and the back. That thing's gonna snap in half the moment it makes a 180 turn.

I really don't get why everyone hates on spindly ships - not everything has to be some huge great penis extension covered head to toe in armour. Been playing a bit of Rogue Squadron - anyone remember the Rebel's frigate? That ship's drive section was a good few hundred meters from the main hull, connected only by a single shaft. Sure, it looks like it would break hella fast under fire, but at least it's set a precedent for more than simple lumps of metal to exist as sci-fi space ships.
I for one like the idea of the Torpedo Cruiser, but I think there's still room to develop the idea. It's always nice to see something a little fresh on these forums, no matter what those ship-building conservatives say
