Some kinda alien beam corvette. Just a little inspired by Freespace 2;
Overview
8x "Anti-Fighter" Beam Emitter
2x Medium Beam Emitter
1x Heavy Beam Emitter
The anti-fighter beams are very short range, but brutally effective. The ships do not have PD, but make up for it with a very tough (10,000pts to the hull's 1,250pts) self-repairing shield.
~~~~
Overview
4x Medium Beam Emitter
Early test firing, focusing the four beams forward...
Early test firing, focusing the four beams outwards for "crowd control".
Interesting style... I want to say that the white color scheme looks bland but..... oddly enough really like it. Good choice of weapons as well, sections choices are good.
On mules we find two legs behind
and two we find before.
We stand behind before we find
what those behind be for.
The shape and the weapons are good but... the ship's color scheme is sort of bland. Not much to say about it.
I believe the core beam uses multiple overlapping linked beams to achieve that glowy effect, with one of those beams being shorter-ranged to make it look as if the beam intensity is dropping off at range.
Nope, just a single beam. It uses cycerin's "brush glow" technique for the core itself. The megabeam has a bright white firing flare which gives that effect though.Skrim wrote:The shape and the weapons are good but... the ship's color scheme is sort of bland. Not much to say about it.
Added the smaller version to the first post, which ironically came first.
