The ship would look much better without the "ring" at the front. It would look better if the original-styled section was replaced with the SWA-styled version of it. Otherwise, it has good section work and usage. Good job.
I'ma go ahead and disagree with the majority and say this is my favorite ship of yours yet. I do prefer the purple version, though, as there are a couple of places where the orange and blue seem to clash. Top notch work, as usual.

The 'ring' was added because the whole ship is ass-end heavy as it is. What would you suggest to re-balance the frontal part?

A post I can agree with, although it's hard to be impartial in choosing a favourite amongst your own ships. There are still things going on in there that I am less than thrilled with.
At first, I was doubtful about Hade's advice regarding the half-ring areas at the bow, but now I see that the ship looks a lot less blunt with these new changes. An improvement.
Realism, seriously? It's a space ship game. Realism was thrown out the window a long time ago.
Those light effects are plainly amazing and honestly I would say Holy Ship. However, the depth doesn't seem as apparent compared to some of your previous ships.
Ed: Hm..Kaelis hasn't put your recent ships on the HS thread. He probably doesn't want to run out of room posting your every creation.
