'New' Atlantis Industry

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

'New' Atlantis Industry

Post by Hiant »

Well, first off I'm back, I've been busy, and so I forgot about BSF. Now I got back, downloaded the newest BSF, and started making the 'New' Atlantis ships. I'm not sure will I make out of this a Fleet, but we will see. Here's the first one:

-Updates.
Update 1: Atlac Dreadnought edited.

The Atlac Dreadnought.

I was testing the Moving & Rotation Functions and the Effect feature. I don't know, but I like it.
NOTE: I do not know how to take a screenshot with the rings rotating. All I can say, that everything that has a fake Aegis glow, are Rotating or Moving.

Feedback please.

Frigging beautiful. I love it, especially the circular bulge in the center.

Nice general shape you got going there its near perfect. Although you change some of the greys to a lighter color and might try some outlining on areas. Also i really like the ring thouhg near the back whats with that random glowing piece?

Very nice! :) My only suggestion, though, would be to put a Flash Bolter in the middle of the circular area, right on top. The color would blend very well and it would probably look almost natural.

may I say this was well named? The image I had reading the title fit right in with the ship design. Bravo.

Thanks for the feedback. Updated the ship picture.
@Homer: The random piece was supposed to move froth and back as an engine for the thrusters.
@VNilla: Done.

Wow but grey a bit too dark and try a bluish green in there ie. atlantian color. I like the flash bolter

Not bad. Not bad at all. Any chance of some visible engine drives though?

Sorry, I was not home for one day. Here's the picture of the exhaust:

Also, about the colors, I think I'll leave the cyan. I'll try to get maybe green-cyan parts or something.

I gotta say, I like the old color style significantly more. Not quite sure why though, I think it is because the old color scheme was more dark, and this is more light.

The green sections clash horribly with the old blue sections. Try to increase the contrast, please.

I'd prefer it if the Circle went with the lines around it, at the moment, the ship is sort of blocky in the center, with a large circlular section up top. Just me though. Otherwise, awesome.

I suspect the problem is that both of the colours are too bright/saturated.

Take one of them and darken it, then show us what you end up with.

no, its not, green and cyan are just bad together. the old color set was much better, if you want green, just replace all cyan for it. Besides the color, the ship is great, good work.
