Confederacy of United Suns. Fourth Generation Fleet.

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Confederacy of United Suns. Fourth Generation Fleet.

Post by bien4500 »

I've decided to make a new thread for every generation, as to avoid clutter.

Ships:

Military:

Image
Hawk Class Antimatter Destroyer
(Description and Info pending)

Image
Kingfisher Class Light Frigate
Length: 560 Meters
Width: 210 Meters
Height: 50 Meters
Displacement: 8900 Tons

Manufacturer:
Dyson Shipyards

Sponsors:
Makayev-Energia Space Systems (Missiles)
Aquataine Engineering (Railguns)

Armament:
4x Thunderhawk Class Anti-Ship Missile
2x Archer Missile Pod
2x HE Railgun
1x Particle Projection Cannon

Defenses:
4x Particle Projection CIWS
2x Point Defense Beams

Equipment:
3x Thrusters
2x Area Interception/Deflection Systems

FT-A-202 'Hammerhead'

Hammerhead Class Armed Freighter

Image

Length: 980 Meters
Width: 220 Meters
Height: 100 Meters

Manufacturer: Massakor Interstellar Transport Shipyards Inc.

Sponsors:
Makayev-Energia Space Systems (Strelka-201-I Interception Missile)
Rassermiesser Weapons Ltd. (Twin-Linked Akan-39 Cannon, Akan-11 Chaingun)
Adventurer Energy Weapons (Hanzo-24 Plasma Bolters)

Weapons/Point Defense
8x Particle Point Defense CIWS
4x Akan-11 Chaingun
2x Strelka-201-I Interception Missile
2x Hanzo-24 Plasma Bolter

The Hammerhead Class Armed Freighter is ugly, but maneuverable and fast. It is also well armed and heavily armored for a freighter, giving it a reputation for being hard to board among raiders and hard to maintain and arm for its owners. Freighter Captains operating on heavily used lines benefit most from the ship in its original configuration, while Captains traveling on lesser used or newer routes opt to sacrifice cargo space for weapons.

FT-A-202-H 'Hammerhead'

Hammerhead-H Class Armed Freighter

Image

Length: 980 Meters
Width: 220 Meters
Height: 100 Meters

Manufacturer: Massakor Interstellar Transport Shipyards Inc.

Sponsors:
Makayev-Energia Space Systems (Strelka-201-I Interception Missile, Aerika-52 Particle Cannon)
Rassermiesser Weapons Ltd. (Twin-Linked Akan-39 Cannon, Akan-11 Chaingun)
Adventurer Energy Weapons (Hanzo-24 Plasma Bolters)

Weapons/Point Defense
8x Particle Point Defense CIWS
4x Akan-11 Chaingun
2x Aerika-52 Particle Cannon
2x Strelka-201-I Interception Missile
2x Hanzo-24 Plasma Bolter

This version of the Hammerhead Class Freighter trades cargo space for weaponry, allowing it to survive better in more dangerous routes.

SF-B-620 'Hornet'

Hornet Class Bomber

Image

Length: 50 Meters
Width: 36 Meters
Height: 13 Meters

Manufacturer: Confederate Naval Defense Shipyards

Sponsors:
Makayev-Energia Space Systems (Strelka-267-N Heavy Rocket Pack)
Rassermiesser Weapons Ltd. (Akan-94 Autocannon, Akan-72 HEX Railgun)

Weapons/Point Defense
4x Particle Point Defense CIWS
2x Akan-72 HEX Railgun
2x Vulcan-203-AS Anti-Ship Missile
1x Akan-94 Autocannon

The Hornet Class Bomber is packed with anti-ship weaponry, which is often hidden inside its wings, making it one of the most feared bombers in the Confederacy. Many hostile captains have mistaken it for an underarmed light corvette due to its size, but few have survived to realize their mistake.

I don't really like the way the HV rockets are just hanging off the side. if you don't want them to look like they're sitting on top, why don't you try layering them under the side so it looks like they're actually a part of the ship, instead of an extra thing hanging on the edge.

Actually, those HV missiles are on top of some sections, those match the shape of the HV's very well, so they seem like they're floating in space.

The front of the freighter looks a bit fragile, thou if it's intentional, then ok... but if those attachment to it are cargo pods, they're kinda small compared to the size of the ship.

Yes, those attachments on the freighters are cargo pods, but when vieweed from the side, they're quite tall.

I really like the Hawk class and Kingfisher; First impression is blocky, solid and sturdy but when you look again the lines are quite smooth. I assume the two grossly extended but still really sexy forward hull parts are part of a massive beam weapon? :D

HOLY SH!T that's nice!
When I think about it, those two look very reminiscent of a "wet" warship found on earth :)

Hey bien, how's work going on the fleet?

Nice weapons placement and feel to the ships; conduits have any relation to the weapons grid?

I suppose the carrier deploys the bombers, no?

Regarding the armaments, I see what you did there! You play transcendence too?
