Magick's New Ships/fleets

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Magick's New Ships/fleets

Post by Magick »

Morpheus' Wrath

Image

Image

The Morpheus' Wrath is the first of the fleet's capital ship line. It is in alternated colors to signify how valuable it is to the survival to the fleet, and it's reactor is of the highest output, allowing for several shots of it's Starburst Cannons. It also has two tac-nuke launchers that cause massive damage over a wide radius, and two fighter bays. The communications array allows it to broadcast messages across entire galaxies.

Image
The Athena is devastating for it's size. It's Gatling Particle Arrays are very deadly, and it's Frost Cannon is used to ward off potential attackers.

Image
The Hermes Freighter is a small ship that is used to transport things short distances. It's only weapons are a GravBeam array and it's forward Particle Cannon.(which sounds like a chainsaw)

Image
The LightArc Defense Turret is a station developed for defending systems. It is armed with a powerful main cannon that is devastating towards everything it hits, along with the Whirlwind Cannon, which unleashes a swarm of bolts at enemies. It has a small engine attached to the back to allow for basic movement.

I don't really have names for them yet.

Criticism is welcomed.

I actually do like the destroyer's shape. Theres a few messy spots but a fair improvement.

I like the medium destroyer, but the front looks a little bit sloppy. I'd say clean up the sections and modules, and give them some order or pattern. also, the front and back look almost like they belong to 2 different ships. maybe consider using a more unified theme.

I like these quite a bit, you went from sucking total dick to being semi-ish not bad. Good job.

Well,I think a corvette is smaller than a frigate.

Indeed, and in the colonial era, the frigate was one of the largest classes of vessels, though not so much nowadays.

As others have stated, the destroyer is by far the best of the lot. However, the nacelle struts look rather weak. As well, the megabeam kind of seems out of place, unless it fires in a three-sixty degree arc.

No, it isn't. The Corvette is eighteen small squares long, and the frigate is roughly thirteen or fifteen. The Corvette is most certainly larger, when corvettes are meant to be smaller than frigates.

In a modern sense, the military vessels should be roughly classified like this:

Battleship/Carrier>Cruiser>Destroyer>Frigate>Corvette>Gunboat
