Proof that I can't make big ships

I really hate this whole prospect of making large ships. As a result, it seems that I cannot participate in any RP or tournament that requires them! ARGH!!!!
What do you think, should I stick to my fighters?

um, if this is finished (and quite possibly even if it's not...) yes...
edit- @Chuck- wtf? (I was gonna say more but I believe that sums it up...)

When i 1st started i made 3 super massive ships, that were huge but had no detail... since then ive made like 5 ships that are huge, get half way through then start over. But, each time i do it, my ship becomes better. I also find working from the inside out, having a general shape you wanna achieve, a colour to stick with, and above all Patience!!!!!

Yeah. I whipped that up in twenty minutes. I just can't do that.
and above all Patience!!!!!
Don't have any. Okay. Sorry, I was just gauging the forums for myself. I think I will stick to fighters. I have some good ones, anyhow. The point is that I can't join any RPS requiring bigger ships.... That sucks a lot.

well... one idea (in order to make big ships) would be to build multiple small ships in a single file and than try to connect them... you can make some pretty cool looking ships that way actually.

Skull13, anyone can make big ships. It all boils down to that perseverance and courage to just go out there and make something decent. Though I can't really stop you if you want to continue building fighters - it's all a matter of personal choice anyway, though I would encourage you to try something new.

Hmm... You may have something there. I'll have to try that sometimes.

you sort of need to start with something a little bit sleeker, so you can build it out a little bit more. the core is practically exposed on that ship, and the area around the core is six section 26's. use something different that lends itself to being built upon a little bit more.

Yeah. I figured that the 26's were a bit odd. The hardest part is finding parts to fill the outline with! I just don't know how to do that! The other hard bit is, as you said, the area directly around the core. I think that I'll look around at other's designs, and see what there is.

one good, easy to do core involves just placing a section 23 with the hole over the blue spherical thing. another would be to use any of the triangular sections on either side of the core.
also, having section 16's running the length of your ship makes it easy to have everything centered, just make sure they're the bottom layer.

Here's a tip, try building it like one of todays ships. Then after that, mess around with hullforms.
