now to he ships: they aren't bad at all. just very simple. Also I'm not a fan of only red as a colourcheme. Still these look very stockbalanced.

Other than the color scheme, good ships. The simple ones are the way to get good. I honestly believe you are on your way to a fleet. (Need a dreadnaught though)
Alls Requiem, my current project, with many more to come. Feel free to critique my site as much as you please.

I agree with Exe on that black section, and don't you think that there's rather too much aegis on that lil beastie? The two side pylons look kinda... flimsy for a battleship - I presume that the idea is to nail them to clear the scatter beams, then flank it, destroy the two exposed aegis generators on the rear and work through to the core from behind in order to destroy it? Just a bit convoluted - like the alien dreadnought but without the ability to nail most of its weapons from shallow forward angles or all of its aegis from the rear.
I don't really like this one aesthetically - again with spindly, exposed sections - personally, section 11 is just damn ugly and doesn't look right rotated to be square like you have at the rear. I like armouring those pylons with section 4s to make them look better, but I don't think it would help practically in this case...
One of the first set of ships, the one with sec 25s for wings, looked pretty nifty - perhaps look at following that idea up a bit more?

Noooo!! don't join the grey-with-highlight masses! Do something different! Grey with highlights was a very stylish look when it first came out, and since then we've had red highlights, blue highlights, purple highlights, I did some green highlights, Spoot's doing orange and yellow highlights, and someone else did french flag highlights - let's see some more variation, dammin lol [/rant]
Perhaps a dull red base with tonal variation to imply some three dimensionality, and light red highlights for edging and any appropriate features. It would just be nice to see more people with interesting colour schemes. It was a breath of fresh air to work on the Hiigaran fleet - shades of prussian blue with blue-off-white edging and team colour stripes. Go on, push the boat out a bit. Go with the orange and purple you have at the moment, try and work out how your ship would be layered in 3D and put lighter shades on the raised sections and darker shades lower down. And hey, if you don't like it at least your ship's small enough that it would only take about 10 changes to completely revise your colour scheme so feel free to experiment. Oh completely ignore me, of course - since so many people like the grey with highlight scheme, it's bound to be appreciated. Don't feel the need to be experimental on behalf of me

If it makes you feel any better, my fleet uses a 'gunmetal' scheme.Wicky_42 wrote:Noooo!! don't join the grey-with-highlight masses! Do something different!
