The start of a fleet, perhaps?

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

The start of a fleet, perhaps?

The ship is the tiny one.

What do you think, should I continue with a fleet of this style or should I work on something else? I haven't posted any ships in a while...

I'll have more ships up later.

Wait. You're going to build a microfleet?

Fly swatters, IN POSITION!

Please keep going on this. This may become interesting.

Microfleet for the fighters, then minifleet for the light capitals, normal fleet for the medium capitals, and titan fleet for the dreadnoughts and stuff.

Yes that's what I was shouting at you about days ago.

On a whole the ships and idea is good, but I think it ends up problematic with even ships that small having such high section counts. Highlighting at that scale isn't really necessary.

I don't care about section counts. I care about detail.

Highlighting is pretty much neccesary for me :)

New ship.

it really is a pain to get everything to align right.

Highlighting on such tiny ships just makes them look like crap. Seriously, using regular grey sections instead of really dark but highlighted sections would probably look a lot better, and more detailed, on ships that goddamn miniscule. Also, I fail to see the point of making such tiny ships if they're going to have section counts higher than that of a Hestia.

Don't you get it? At the scale you're making this fleet, no one is going to zoom in that far to look at needless details, and you're effectively doubling the section count for no purpose whatsoever.

On the other hand, without highlighting, it might actually be impossible to see them on a normal zoom... <_<

But it's not going to help the fps, no.

He could just build them out of white sections, and do away with the crap highlighting.

The smoke will be there, and he can always make the pieces lighter.
