my first ships

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Hello Gkug,
I think you may have put a little too much PD on those things. Also, red and blue do not usually work as a color scheme. If you look closely the mirrored railguns near the center of the Pocket Battleship are shifter a pixel off. That's just an annoying bug with the Shipmaker. Overall they are much better than most of things new people post.

Also, if you are having trouble naming your ships I suggest you read this topic:

You're right, the names are very generic. The color scheme leaves something to be desired for me, as it's very dark, and that doesn't go well with my crappy monitor. However, as far as I can see, they are very well built. Maybe it's just the fact that I've been dealing with those Homeworld ships all day, but I like them. However, I do hope you've done parenting right, would you mind posting some pics of the parenting?

Overall, good.

Pretty damn good. I'm betting with a white glow those would look pretty cool ingame.

Firstly, don't use JPEG. PNG is the preferred format for crisp pictures and acceptable file size.

Secondly, colors need work. Try a grayish color and a highlight color, or two similarly hued colors.

Weapons, use less. Modding a weapon to be twice as powerful is preferable to using two weapons. Weapons should firstly be aesthetic, then functional.

Lastly, the ship looks like a whale.

As far as the shape of the hull goes, not bad, not bad at all. Weapons are placed decently as well in most cases, and I like the colourscheme.

The ships are not bad, but some ships have unnecessary repetition of sections that quite frankly could be better done with other sections.

Also as for the color scheme, Superman did it right, you did not.

You people must get over your fear of repetition, not all repetition is bad you know :?
