the entire reason I made this fleet was to use the outlining style if you're talking about the freighter than I'll redesign it
I mean the distinct second layer of armor. If it was outlining, it should have been much closer, so that it made a single thicker line.

I challenged myself to make an alien ship using no alien parts... Then I started listening to Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones... yeah.

The tubes are cool. The ship however seems way too .... thin, overall.

It reminds me of Bahamut Zero when you summoned it way back in FF7 and it flew out of the sun and stuff.

Its and interesting shape your have there but as Lizzie said, it gives an impression of it being really thin/flimsy. Its also lacking a certain flare I can't really put my finger on it. It just looks like it has no direction - it kinda reminds me of those ink blot tests - looks kinda like a baby maker minus the eggs infact.

I do like the fact that there are little holes in that section for the background to poke through.

I don't think i can make the arms thicker without losing the effect I wanted, The hull however, I can fix.

**EDIT**
Why does every one ninja me!!!!!!! :x

It is. Frankly could use some buildup towards the back though.

I've been having trouble making ships for my Desert Fleet and I've been stuck on my modifications to Painted Black, so I present to you...

Your use of the... section... the flat thin one that people use as armor plates sometimes... is pretty good. Although im not a fan of the repetition, it still looks okay.

By repitition do you mean the uniformness of the fleet or just the spikes? Section 25 spikes FTW

nowadays, "repetition" means you used a section twice or more
But its a very nice fleet, and the sugarro kicks.Section 25 rule then all!!!

Not sure what you mean by the Sugarro kicking, but I'll assume it was a compliment. :P

Thanks! I wasn't really going for the alien look but then again I didn't really want it to be terran.

As for the colors, I think my scheme will be more apparent when I think of a name for the fleet.
This fleet is actually more colorful than my last which only used two colors.
Don't make me build a one color fleet!

*EDIT*
Actually I'll make it apparent now.

The smallest is the Eddy, then the Current, then Whirlpool and finally, The Tide
